At first glance I thought the band connecting the two earpieces would be annoying. Wrong. These are very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Easy to connect with any phone but does require an ap so wasn't successful using with my computer. Fantastic signal range compared to some of the other similar products available at twice the price. Better bass than the original Backbeat Fit as well. These are definitely worth looking at.

I have had Jaybird Tarah Pro and the older version of the backbeat fit. The voice prompts on this new version are terribly low quality almost to a point I question how they thought releasing it like this was good (can vice prompt quality be updated with the firmware Plantronics?) That being said the other features of this headset that may not be obvious from the old are the touch sensitive control used on each earbud rather than buttons (not a bad upgrade feels more modern.) The band on the new design is still good a bit tougher than previous so it works well for bigger guys like myself. The sound is slightly improved and I feel I can hear things around me better than with the old model (this is what this headset is designed to do.) If you like adjusting a headset in your ear to get better sound quality and not hearing anyone around you go with jaybird x4 or tarah pro, if you like white earpods hanging like broken headphones get apple ear pods. If you like something cool that lets you hear and talk to anyone with little change in audio quality during activity and no adjustment during the day these are ideal. The older version I had still work after 3 years they quit working well because I washed them in laundry more than twice (accidentally) and I think they just started to rust a bit from the last wash causing a low volume on one side. These are ideal take with you headphones they can zip up in a side pocket and be worn during any daily activity in public where you need to listen to a video or music without disrupting anyone nearby. Also these are not the best for ambient noise isolation during calls I would suggest jabra if you are looking for good call quality headsets with good voice prompts and noice rejection. These are perfect for cyclists or anyone who want to hear music while having a conversation during a workout or walk and the occasional hands free phone calls. If you want very high volume and highest quality crisp notes with audio adjustment for use in home these likely are not the best option. These are ideal for trouble free convenience for any big guy the presentation is on par with the price would be a nice Christmas gift. These usually can be found on sale so look to get them price matched I got mine for a third the price of tarah pro's any price under $75 these are a decent deal.

They stay in place, are comfy and have great sound quality! I am female, so they fit well, if you have a giant head, buy with caution, they may not be comfortable!

One of the better headsets I've owned

I have been through dozens on BT headsets, and this pair is rising to the top of my favorite list. I have put them through some of my most grueling workouts, and I have faced very few issues. The fit: Snug and STAYS PUT! Even when throwing strikes at the heavy bag or sprinting, they stay in place. I've had very few sets accomplish that. The "band" hasn't been a nuisance. Typically with these types of sets, the bad will curl up, or lose shape and become a hindrance. Not an issue so far. Sound: Great balance. I usually prefer my headsets loud enough to drown out everything, but I'm realizing that isn't the smartest way to listen. These get just loud enough where I'm not distracted by others, and I can still hear things in my surroundings. It has been great for outside runs. Playing with the ear buds rotation helps to get a tighter fit when I want more bass. Clean sound with no noticeable feedback or distortion. Durability: Great. Took them in the shower for kicks, kept on playing. Tossed them around and in my gym bag, no issues whatsoever. Battery: So fay, it is true to the advertised times. The only negative here is when it alerts for "battery medium," it shift fairly quickly to "low battery." The low battery period is fairly long, so it balances out, but the alerts are a bit off. Another great feature is the seamless ability to switch between devices. I go back and forth from my tablet to my phone with little issue. I've had other pairs connect to both, but not switch so easily. This is a great headset, and I'd recommend in a heartbeat. The only main gripe I have is with the app. So far, it has been a pain and unnecessary. Haven't needed to use it, so it doesn't really matter.

I have small ears and these are really comfortable

I bought these as a replacement for my old backbeat fits that were about 3.5 years old and had been used very heavily. I don't only wear these to work out. I love them because they fit my little ears, so larger ear users might not find these comfortable. My brother tried them on and did not find them comfortable. I know a number of people have said they don't have good sound quality, but the pair I got are great. Same sound as the old ones. Music and audiobooks are great. However, just to note; I am not a huge fan of thundering bass. So, if you are looking for amped up bass, these are not for you.

They are water resistant just as described. I used them under hearing protection muffs and subjected them to extreme heat and sweating, they lasted over a year. I also ran a lot in them again they held up. Noise cancelation was a 0. But they are not advertised as having that as a key feature, good call volume though.

I got these headphone on Dec 01 2018, they died on Feb 08 2019. The battery would not charge anymore. However, that is one of many other design flaws. The fit was uncomfortable in the ear after about 1.5 hours or wearing them on a long hike. There is NO noise isolation at all and so the sound quality is very bad. There is no bass on these headphones unless you hold them tight in your ear but they will pop right out. The touch feature was a bad experience for me because I wore them with my hoodie and the touch of the hoodie against the headphones would change the volume settings up or down. All in all, I liked the previous version a lot better. I had those old ones for over a year and the battery just died which I believe is expected after a while. I did not even tried to exchange. I just got my money back and instead I bought couple of cheap earbuds which perform A LOT better than this product regression.

Don't buy, I've gone thru 3 pairs. All broke

I had the older model of these. Used for workouts. They were great. But broke after a few years of heavy use. So I upgraded to this model. They suck, had battery issues with the first two out of the box. Returned them. Third pair lasted about 8 weeks before things got bad. Don't charge fully, indicator lights have stopped working. Volume buttons randomly activate turning my music all the way up or down. Button to move forward and backward in playlist stopped working. Volume button no longer works, have to manage volume from my phone. Terrible product. Very dissatisfied compared to older model.

    Failed to hold a charge

I purchased these about a year & a half to 2 years ago. They worked great in the beginning but as time went on they seemed to have less charging ability. I can only go maybe an hour before they die. I get muffled sound on one side that fades in & out. It's a shame because I really wanted them to work longer than they did.

    Sound quality is a problem

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Bought these when my previous BackBeat FIT stopped powering on (those would charge but not respond to the power on button). The upgraded controls of a 2100 with less buttons made good sense but the sound quality has gone to trash. I read reviews where many complained of a hissing background noise but was hoping it's just a production problem, not the design flaw. Unfortunately, mine had a very noticeable hiss that I can't quite tolerate so have to return. I gave this 2 stars for an effort to redesign controls. Honestly, even if it would be selling half off the $100 that it's selling now, I wouldn't buy because of that noise.

    Extremely Disappointed

Was seeking something rugged and would stay in my ears while I ran. Was advised these by the salesmen. Charged them and installed app and was able to connect to my Iphone SE easy enough. Tried running and listening to itunes music, and sounded like a scratched CD. Skipped constantly. Thought maybe I hadn't charged enough (battery was on medium). Charged again, and disconnected my Garmin watch from bluetooth (thought maybe that was issue). Still skipped constantly. I know it's not my phone as I run with a cheap pair of LG bluetooth headphones with no issue. Getting ready to take back. Frustrated with the hassle.

I purchased these yesterday only to find out that unless you have tye neck size of a small infant they won't fit. Also if you wear glasses or a hat or a jacket they all interfere with the headset. I have used bluetooth sonce the started coming out both over the ear snd the new in ear and these by far bring the most pain by far. Then we getvto the sound quality. Everyone sounds like they are in a barrel and under the ocean snd you have a constant high pitched tone in your ear. The only positive thing is that best buy will take it back

Thank you for your honest review on our BackBeat FIT 2100. We're very sorry to hear you were not able to find a comfortable fit. These headsets are designed to fit the vast majority of ear shapes and sizes; however, we do know that one size may not fit all. The earloops are softer, more flexible and reduce hotspots behind the ear but are sturdy and stable enough during high intensity training. The eartips are softer and thinner but stronger where they could tear. Small on-ear controls were replaced with one larger context-sensitive button (capacitive touch buttons) that is easier to navigate and causes less pressure inside the ear. As for audio issues, you might want to ensure your unit's firmware is up to date through the "BackBeat" app where you should find a reset option as well. We thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your comments will be shared with our Product Development team, as we appreciate feedback based on customer use to create the best possible products. 3 pairs all dead after a few months

I have 3 pairs of these that all died after a few months going unused. I pulled one pair out to use them for running and found they won’t charge no matter how long they’re on the charger. It’s the same with the other 2 pairs we got as well. Searching for the problem returns forum after forum on ifixit full of people who have exactly the same problem and plantronics telling people they need to pay $95 to have them repaired.
