    Comfortable and Crisp Clear Sound

I've tried a lot of ear buds and this set has a very crisp clear sound with lots of treble, mid-range and base - more so than any others in this price range. It comes with 3 different sized earbud ear-plugs. I found this device to be so comfortable I forgot I had them on a couple times. The control functions are very simple and that's what I feel is the right approach/design for ear buds. It comes with a quick start guide and these instructions are all you will need. There is a nice pouch to hold the charging cable and the ear extra buds nicely. What may be a very desirable feature for a lot of people is the construction which seems immune to sweat and easily cleaned after a jog (I don't move fast enough anymore to use the word 'run'). No trouble pairing with android phone. The pricing is very nice for the quality of these ear buds. I was impressed with the volume, construction and most important the very nice sound. I would recommend these highly.

I seem to go through headphones quickly as the never seem to last with heavy use. I use them to work out as well as at work. I'm impressed with the comfort level of these Plantronics Backbeat Fit head/earphones. Despite their appearance, they are light and comfortable. The sound quality is excellent as I would expect for a better-quality accessory. I recommend these to anyone looking for a quality head/earphone.

The design of these ear buds are comfortable and give a snug fit when moving around without "poking" my ears like some other sport-fit designs. Very nice fit without feeling like they are crammed in my ears. Sound quality is fine and as good or better as other mid-price models I have used over the years. Battery life seems good going hours playing music or streaming podcasts without having to recharge too often. Overall a good price-point for decent sound and a very nice fit. I would add that the "wind whistle" from moving around seems much less pronounced with these than others i have tried that sell for a few dollars less. I expect these to last quite a while before needing a replacement or upgrade.

    The right earphone will die

I've been using these since july 2018 to March 2019... I have had to get these replace 10 times during these months, I have a pair and so does my partner. I do construction and go to the gym and sauna 4 to 5 days a week. I use the headphones all the time. I kill the battery everyday because how much i use them. I heavily used these headphones. They sound great and fit comfortably in my ears but eventually the right ear piece will cut out and the rubber around the buttons will come apart exposing the insides. Without the bestbuy insurance I'd be out alot of money. It seems bestbuy isnt stocking them so i bought a different brand. Overall if the right headphone didnt die these would have been great headphones.

These headphones sound pretty good, but there are some issues with mine. I get sort of a microphone hum effect when the headphone wire gets wiggled. Not sure if it’s an issue with my set or a common error, as I’ve seen it in a few other reviews on sites. Other than that, these are pretty good.

Thank you for taking the time to review the BackBeat FIT 305, however we are sorry to hear you're experiencing trouble with your earbuds.

The rubbing noise is a ‘stethoscope’ effect of any occluding earbud‐style headphone (fabric or rubber). This effect is slightly louder with a fabric cable rather than a TPE cable. As an active headphone, the fabric cable was intentionally selected despite this challenge because it has less friction rubbing on moist skin in motion (than a typical TPE cable has). Fabrics can also gather debris.

After trying these out for a couple weeks I’m ready to make my review. Pros- They are quite easy to set up right out of the box and came with a full charge. Comes with a few different sized ear pieces but the ones that came on it fit me the best. Cons- But once I turned them on I was not impressed at all. The sound quality was very poor. Just as bland as a set that comes with an iPhone or the cheap $10 earbuds you can buy at a drug store. Then the cable that connects the ear pieces is made of fabric and the sound of it touching/rubbing/moving resonates all the way to the earbuds and is annoyingly loud. Running or doing any physical activity at the gym was a nuisance. Unfortunate because these seem to be marketed toward people who would use these for the gym.

In order to get the best possible fit and sound quality out of your earbuds, try experimenting with the 3 different eartip sizes that are included in the box. Your left or right ear might require different sizes to get the right fit and the sound quality will improve with a better fit.

Overall, I don't regret getting these because they do what I need them to do...be Bluetooth earbuds. I find myself not reaching for these as often as I would like, however, because once clipped to the shirt your range of motion of moving your head left to right & up and down is limited. I find the bud on either side snatching out of my ear when my head moves around too much. No one complains about not being able to hear me, though, which is great. Listening to music isn't a bad experience with these headphones but the quality of sound (for lack of a better term) doesn't blow me away either. All in all, I don't regret getting these because they get the job done...I just have to watch my head movement.

My main workout headphone is the Plantronic Backbeat Fit and I love those, so was happy to try out another Plantronic workout headphone. These headphones have a nice, solid build quality, nice fit (customizable with the different included attachments) and great sound. However, I find that the "box" housing the electronics close to the right earbud is pretty bulky and hard to use. In fact, when you feel for the controls, the weight of the "box" plus the weight of your hand trying to push some of the buttons causes the right earbud to fall out. An annoyance for sure. But, if you overlook this, these are decent earbuds that are sweatproof.

I'm a stickler when it comes to comparing products and reading reviews before buying something, and I did just that before purchasing these headphones. The battery life performs as advertised, the cord is super rugged, as demonstrated while angrily pulling them apart at the gym last night, lol. They fit snug for the first couple months, then for some reason, gradually began to slip out of my ear. I had the last straw when the right bud slipped out in the middle of benching. I used them for trail running and working out... not anymore. On to the next set, hopefully will find something better. Waste of money - again. 'Guess I gotta spend over $100 to get something to actually work for their intended purpose.

    Material Cord Noisy

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I like the look and style of these, the fit works great, but I really wish they had not made them with a material cord. The material creates "noise" you can hear in the headphones, you can hear the rubbing when you turn your head, look up or down. I was really disappointed becasue the sound is really pretty good, but when you have a rubbing noise sound from the cord, it is a deal breaker for me. I will be returning them.

    Great while they lasted

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought these in June, and have used them for both commuting and running on a regular basis since then. They sounded great and had good battery life (and charged fairly quickly too). Initially, my only real complaint with them was that the battery housing/controls was kind of big and heavy and would bounce around while I was running. There was a little clip that would hold it in place against my shirt, but it was cheap and flimsy and broke off after a short while. But overall, I would have rated these four stars, until they died completely on me after only four months of use. They won't charge or power on at all now. I used them to run one morning and they worked fine, but that afternoon when I tried to turn them on for my commute, they were dead. I do get them wet from sweating while running, but they're billed as being sweat proof, so that shouldn't kill them. I never got them wet from rain or anything, and I always kept them in their little carrying sack in my pocket, so they never got physically damaged. My guess is that they're not as sweat proof as the manufacturer claims. It's really aggravating to spend $80 on something that doesn't last more than four months.

    Fit is the main issue

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The sound is not bad; bass is passable but not great. The main issue is the fit: the weird appendage on the in ear portion of the headphones isn't really secure. After having trying all three sizes; it isn't really snug and will drop out with head movement. If I keep my head still or move it slowly, then it's not that much of an issue; which kind of defeats the purpose of sports ear buds... haha. The wires and the remote control are too heavy (remote is attached to the right ear bud); which makes it more prone to falling out of the ears; moreso the right earbud. I have an android and the "okay google" doesn't work; you have to hold down the middle button and then release for it to activate the assistant. I'm uncertain if this is a phone issue or earbuds. In order to forward a song or go back; you have to either hold the vol up or down button for 2 seconds. This is a little cumbersome; I'm used to my old (wired) earphones, which allow you to double press the button in order to forward or three times to reverse; which feels easier and quicker than holding down a button. As far as the bluetooth connection is concerned: I haven't tested them too extensively to comment confidently on it, however initially it seemed pretty good. To be honest, I'm contemplating returning them. To be honest; they're not worth the $59 + tax (I paid about $63 @ the time of the review). Probably around 30-40 is reasonable.

Thank you for your honest review on our BackBeat FIT 305 Headset. We are sorry to hear you were not able to find a comfortable and secure fit even after trying all of the included ear tip sizes. To fix your stability problems, try experimenting with the 3 different eartip, your left or right ear might require different sizes to get the right fit. You might also want to try using the included shirt collar clip to keep the cable from bouncing and pulling the earbuds off your ears.

To activate the voice assistant, when not on a call, press and hold the Voice Button for 2 seconds until you hear the tone. Wait for the phone prompt to activate voice dialing, search, and other smartphone voice controls. In case this doesn't work, please test it on a different phone to isolate the cause of this issue.
Our headsets are designed to fit the vast majority of ear shapes and sizes; however, we do know that one size may not fit all and if you find the product too uncomfortable for normal use we strongly recommend that you consider using a headset with a different wearing style. Please read this before you buy. I have now owned 2 of these. The first one I bought died within the 1 year warranty and Plantronics was great about exchanging it for another one. It was a pain to go through the process, but their customer service was nice. I have now had my second one for less than a year and it just died again. Overall I am sad because I like having the cord that goes around my neck, the sound and voice components are great but it won't last more than a year, so that is disappointing.

I purchased the Plantronics - BackBeat Fit Headphones about eight months ago. I was on the fence about which brand to buy, and decided ultimately, for the price, I would try them. There are so many to choose from! The sound quality was great ... for about a month. then it was like one side would work and one would go out. this was annoying at best and so I brought them back. I decided that maybe it was just the pair was defective and exchanged them for another. This time it was the battery. I don't have a lot of free time to go back and forth so I Brought them back and haven't looked back since.

Hello and thank you for your honest review. However, very sorry to hear about your experience. As with any complex consumer electronic device, the BackBeat FIT 305 wireless headphones are at risk from any number of environmental stressors that can affect the longevity of the product’s lifecycle. The life expectancy of the product should be of at least a year, but this varies depending on the usage and on most cases it should be closer to 2-4 years and we're sorry to hear this has not been the case. We recommend you to try using a different micro-USB cable to isolate the cause of the issue. Your comments will be forwarded to our team for review and consideration.
