Posted .Our BackBeat FIT has an IP57 waterproof rating as an added layer of protection against sweat, rain or splashes but is not intended for constant submersion or underwater use. In fact Bluetooth technology does not transmit through water, therefore, no Bluetooth headset can be used underwater. Use in the shower or submersion to clean your headphone for less than 30 mins and above 3 feet should be safe.

Please try charging your headset using another charger and cable to see if this helps the issue: your unit should display a red LED while charging and it should turn blue after ~2.5 hours, you can try powering your unit on afterwards to see if it responds as expected.

Most recently I bought a pair of Jaybird Freedoms - which were highly rated, expensive and... not that great. Main issues: earphones don't stay in very well; and the wire between the headphones sticks to the back of a sweaty neck - which means if you turn your head at all when running, it pulls one of the earphones out. Not good! Sound quality was good, and use of microphone for calls was decent, as was battery life Enter the Plantronics Backbeats - they were recommended to me by a Best Buy blueshirt after a long conversation, and frankly they were not on my radar screen before then. I have had them for a week and have used them multiple hours each day - for commuting, walking, running, and gym. First, they fit easily and well. The over-the-ear design gives me confidence they will stay in; they fit under glasses or sunglasses easily. The rubber wire connecting the headphones behind the neck is shorter and designed to stay off your neck - elimninating the potential for pulling headphones out when turning your head. They also do not tangle at all. Controls are easy to use and actually work effectively (vol up/down, stop track, answer phone, turn on and off etc). Sound quality is very good (not super audiophile, but fine for listening to music, taking calls, etc), battery life is about 8 hours, easy to check battery remaining, and they charge fast. Also they are waterproof, so you can just rinse them off when you finish working out. They quickly connect via Bluetooth and I have had no issues with random disconnection. Overall, I highly recommend these headphones for general use and heavy exercise.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was introduced to this product in the store and a member of the store told me they were a good product and recommend them so I took it upon myself to purchase this item based on his support. After 2 weeks of trial I have discovered the product is very poor in reception. You must be very close to your source meaning direct line of sight I was on able to get more than 5 feet from the product. I would not recommend this product for someone who was going to use it to jog or do activities where they wanted to be away from a wired source. In that case you're better off just having a wired source and dealing with the court. If I could refund the item I would.

Posted .That may be an issue with the headset or with the connection between the headset and phone. You might want to try resetting the Bluetooth connection between your phone and headset to see if that helps the issue.
To do so:
1. Delete the headset from your cell phone's list of paired devices.
2. Once deleted, power your phone completely off, then power it back on. This resets the Bluetooth stack in the Bluetooth software on the phone.
3. Re-pair the headset with your phone and test.
If the issue is the same we recommend testing the device with another phone to determine if it's on the phone or headset. If the issue persists even on a different phone we can replace that device, it comes with a 1 year warranty.
