The only reason I didn't give it five stars is it doesn't connect automatically if turned on in the middle of a phone call. It automatically connects to the phone but it won't pickup the existing call. I have to let it connect to the phone and then go into audio and change the call to Headset.

At times, it’s ear piercing loud even with the volume all the way down. Will look for other brands.

Posted .Hello and thank you for your honest review! The Explorer 505 provides noise reduction on your side, however, it cannot control the noise that is being sent by the other caller. Still, it should not produce any piercing noises, please try the following: unpairing the headset from your phone and re-pairing it, if possible, test a different phone as well just to make sure. If you continue to experience difficulties, please don't hesitate to contact Plantronics Customer Care at 855-765-7878, additionally, you have a 1 year warranty from the purchase date, if needed.
