      Hi! Thank you for your honest review. We are sorry to hear you've had trouble with your Explorer 505. If you are experiencing acoustic issues you might want to try resetting the Bluetooth connection: Delete the headset completely from your cell phone's list of paired devices. Power your phone completely OFF, then power it back on. This resets the Bluetooth stack in the Bluetooth Software on the phone. If the issue continues after doing this your unit would need to be replaced. Please note your headset does include a limited warranty.     Had to return a different brand twice. One didn't work at all and second one people kept telling me they couldn't hear me. Went back to Plantronics and it is working fine. Only replaced old one because it went through washer

    Lasts about as long as the warranty period. Does not cancel noise and I have people tell me all the time they can hear background noises. Function is mediocre and is a value at the discounted price point but has no wow factor and doesn’t last long (I use daily, all day long so occasional use may extend its life???). Gets the job done but not overly impressed.

If you are experiencing some audio issues with the microphone, you may want to try resetting the Bluetooth connection with your mobile. 1) Unpair the headset from your mobile phone by accessing your Bluetooth settings. 2) Power off your mobile phone for 2 minutes and turn it back on. 3) Re-pair the headset by pressing and holding down the call control button until you see the LED flashing red and blue. 4) Access to your Bluetooth settings and select "PLT_E500". Once successfully paired, you will hear "pairing successful" and the LED on your headset will stop flashing red and blue. We also recommend testing the headset with a different mobile to isolate the issue. If for some reason you still encounter the same issue, then it means the headset has an actual problem and it is best to replace it. Remember this unit counts with a limited warranty since the first day of purchase, and if you need a replacement you can click on the following link for further instructions: https://bit.ly/2N637EC.     My Plantronic head set for my android phone does what i want. I can hear my conversations and it fits comfortably on my ear.

    I bought this to replace another Plantronics headset. I bought this based on the previous one and the over-ear hook is removable. It works great and setup was a breeze.

    Constantly resetting the piece. Doesn’t always recognize new calls. Doesn’t connect when I tell it to make phone call. I shut ear piece down when charging. I always turn off my iPhone 11 when charging. Aggravating! Ear piece I had prior to this never caused me these problems!

      Hi Beth and thank you for sharing your honest feedback on our Explorer 505; However, we're deeply sorry to hear about your experience. There are a couple of procedures you could try to fix connectivity issues. One is to reset the Network settings from your iPhone as well as resetting the Bluetooth connection between your earpiece and your phone. To do so: Delete the headset from your cell phone’s list of paired devices. Once deleted, power your phone completely off, then power it back on. This resets the Bluetooth stack in the Bluetooth software on the phone. Lastly, re-pair the unit with your phone. Testing your earpiece with a different phone is also ideal to isolate the cause of the issue. If you still get the same results, even after performing the previous steps, then the unit might have an actual problem. This model counts with a one-year limited warranty.     I work in a hospital and use Vocera. The headset that come with the Vocera are too big for my ears and hurt after only a few hours of wear. This Bluetooth piece pairs seemlessly and is comfortable all day!

    Unit usually works flawlessly but sometimes, it gets jumbled. disconnect and reconnect usually fixes this. Battery life could be better.

    I have tried several brands of Bluetooth and always come back to Plantronics. (I have a propensity of losing these little devils.) At this point I go straight to Plantronics 500 series when I replace.

    Works Well so far. I bought it for my wife for Christmas and she has been only using it a week now. She is very critical of electronic devices when they don't work so I would expect to hear complaints if there were any by now.
