    This is a good cheap filter, but even if you are an amerture photographer if you take outside photograph with this filter and a slightly more expensive Hoya filter you can see a difference. So if you can spare few more dollars I would suggest you buy a Hoya or some other filter

    For a first filter just so that your camera has that extra protection it's not bad, and it's inexpensive. Clarity is ok, but if you start upgrading your equipment you'll want to upgrade from this as well.
