Got another one and it too had the problem only it was immediately after i plugged it in (brand new) and it also would flash a bright film grain screen (lovely). Both are crap and left me very disappointed. For a $30 cord you would think it would be great. Also they get really hot on the HDMI side, like after a minute of connecting they are burning up. Big bummer.

We verified by connecting it to other computers and monitors that the cable was the issue. You should spend the extra money for better quality and not take the chance on this one. Of course Buy has only a 15 day return policy so for $29 paying for shipping to manufacture isn’t even worth it. I knew better, always go with quality first.

They suggested this to my mother for her new MacBook that she purchased with this cable. She can’t view the MacBook in her tv via hdmi since the cable won’t work. We are over the return limit by 2 days since she just now tried to use it. Not happy. Thinking about returning the white MacBook due to this.

Told to take to store with iPad Pro to determine if cable was bad or connection in iPad. Geek Squad recommended buying different brand. Did. Success. Of course every product line can have a lemon. Great return policy.
