Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the USB-C ports, the charger's quality, and its compatibility with various devices, including Apple products. Many appreciate the long cord and the portability it offers for charging multiple devices simultaneously. However, some customers noted that the charger is relatively large and heavy. While some experienced no overheating issues, others found the wattage to be a limiting factor.

    A solid multi-port charger

This wall charger offers up to 65 watts of power across three USB ports, with two of the ports being standard USB and the third a USB type C port. Unlike the standard USB ports, the C port provides up to 47 watts of power. The charger, to help avoid damage during travel, has foldable blades. An eight-foot USB type C cable is included with the charger. This charger comes with a Lifetime Limited Warranty – which covers defects in materials and workmanship. I tested the charger with two of my computers. The first was my Samsung Laptop – which has a USB type C port for charging. At 50% battery remaining and using the USB type C port on the Platinum charger, it charged the laptop to 100% in about 45-50 minutes. While the Platinum was charging my Samsung, I also used one of the standard USB ports on the Platinum charger to charge my Pixel 3 XL smartphone from 80% to 95%. It took 15 minutes to do this. After reducing my Pixel a second time to 72% battery and using the USB C port, and having the Pixel on and running while charging, it charged to 95% in about 25 minutes. It’s clearly not as quick as using the charger bundled with the Pixel, but it’s still respectable. When traveling, I typically find myself needing to charge my laptop, smartphone, smartwatch, earbuds, and other devices. Having a charger that powers multiple devices simplifies the number of chargers I’ll need during travel. I see no downsides with this charger whatsoever and, based on my testing, it has met all my expectations. This is a good purchase.

NOT for iphone 11 pro max

Let me be absolutely clear! This charger does NOT fit the iphone 11 pro max charging port! I've been stuck in this hospital's ICU for almost 2 weeks. i CANNOT get out of my hospital bed. I purchased this charger online based on the "power delivery for iphone..." in the item's title. Had someone pick it up and bring it to me. IT DOESN'T FIT!! Completely wasted my time and money along with the person's time and gas. Still stuck at "square one" with a phone battery on life support and STILL no cable to charge my phone. Absolutely ridiculous!

It works just fine at charging, but that's only when it stays plugged in. 90% of the time it falls out of a wall socket just under its shear weight and center of gravity.

This is great as it replaces your laptop charger as well as AC plug-in adapter(s) for any USB device you might have, allowing you to charge 3 devices at same time using 1 device. I highly recommend especially if you are a traveling road warrior. There is no setup – just plug charger into AC then connect your device using USB-C or USB A to charge. Base is a tad large (2.8 x 2.8 x 1.2 in) but AC plug-folds in/out into unit while traveling. Plug is set very high up in base so as to not block another outlet on wall socket. However, it may block a connection if using in a power strip – it did on mine. Base has a little LED light that lets you know there is power – don’t know how many times I plugged a charger into a “switched” outlet and didn’t notice no power. 1 USB-C; 5 V3 A, 9V3 A, 15V/3 A, 20V/2.35 A with 47 W maximum (DC) 2 USB A; single port 5V/2.4 A – both ports 5V/3.6 A max 8 ft Cable which is more than long enough. I used it on; Google Slate tablet (2019) – charged fine using USB C Dell Inspiron 2in1 model 7386 (2018) – charged fine using USB C Samsung S8 SM-950U – charged fine using USB A port Ipod 5th Gen – charged fine using USB A port Samsung Notebook Pro 9 (2017) – did not charge. This is a known issue as this model does not accept USB C charging. So not chargers fault. Times to charge seemed to more or less match estimated times using each device supplied charger. Lifetime limited warranty. I have no negatives really except 8 ft. cord can easily get tangled. Cant wait to travel with it!

I’m disappointed that I paid a lot of money for this and it only worked for a little over one month! Since Covid-19, I’ve been working from home and doing more things on my personal computer and I needed to replace the charger. I made sure to not be cheap on what I was buying only for it to stop working about a month out. When I looked at the return date, I had just must the return back date. Disappointed. I had to purchase another and so far it’s working .

This power brick is extremely versatile providing sufficient juice to make a laptop go while still having enough left over to charge to cell phones. The power adapter is about the same physical dimensions as the one which comes with a MacBook Pro. This makes it relatively large on the plug side. It fits well in a wall socket that can be challenging to fit into a power strip shared with other devices. It has three outputs: USB-C – PD, and 2 USB A ports (standard). The USB – eight ports each operate at 2A. The adapter comes with an 8 foot USB-C to USB-C cable. The include cable is relatively thick and stiff, which portends a long useful life. You have to have your own cables in order to make use of the additional ports. I was able to charge my Lenovo ultrabook laptop simultaneous with my Samsung cell phone. The phone did not charge as fast as with a high-speed connection such as QC 3.0 or a direct USB-C connection, but it was still a respectable speed. The phone indicated charge time of 1 hour and 29 minutes vs. 1 hour and 5 minutes with the high-speed connection. The time required to charge my laptop did not change regardless if my phone was also connected. A friend of mine asked to charge his MacBook Air, and this adapter gave him all the juice he needed. His perception was that it was charging his laptop that the same speed as Apple’s native adapter. He admired the extra ports which would allow you to carry only a single, compact adapter for all of your devices. I think I’ll keep it.

This isn't a 65 watt USB-C charger. It's actually a 47 watt USB-C port with two 12 watt USB-A ports totalling 65 watts all together. The packaging is extremely misleading. This will not charge a MacBook Pro.

In the box is the USB-C charger, USB-C charge/sync cable and a quick set up guide. Pros The charger is like an all in one with the USB-C connect and two usb connects. For me, this is great because I can use one plug for 2-3 devices. Charging is pretty good, I was able to charge two devices with midway battery life within 1 hour and 45 minutes. Travel is simple, unplug and put in your travel companion. Cons The instructions states that if there are more than one device charging that the charge maybe slower. I wouldn't recommend putting in a purse because it is a little heavy but if you have a backpack or travel tote, it will be great. Overall, I appreciate this device because I can charge a tablet, phone and laptop with one plug. I normally charge my devices at night, so the slow charge won’t bother me. Also, I will definitely use and get another charger for my office, since I will be able to charge more than one device with one plug. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends and family that own more than one portable device. This is definitely a space savor for me.

I bought this item on 9/18/21 for use at home. By 10/19/21 — literally one month later — it stopped working. The light indicator is on, but it is not charging my MacBook Pro. To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement.

It's a good wall charger. I do wish it had more ports, but I suppose to sustain the needed wattage on the Type-C concessions had to be made. I like the look of it, reminds me of another brand in home that I use and swear by. The Type-C port had no issues powering/charging my PixelBook. I also tested it on my Note 10+. This charger unfortunately does not support PPD so it's not capable of the super fast charging that the Note 10 series and a few other select devices support. I imaging once it's more widespread, the standard will make it's way in to more chargers. Overall it's a good looking charger that does exactly what it needs to. It is a bit heavy, so it may be better to have this oriented up off the floor in a surge protector or power strip cause it does seem to sag a little when plugged directly in to the wall. Besides that I find nothing really to dislike about this. If you're needing more ports, I'm sure you won't have a problem find another model that does have the needed ones.

    "Charged" About This Product!!

The first thing I noticed when I unpacked this charger was the solid construction of the power block and the 8ft USB-C wire that accompanied the charger. It does not disappoint. The whole setup feels solid. I would definitely feel comfortable taking this with me while traveling knowing that it can take some abuse. The block itself is a little large, but not too large. I think I would be less likely to leave it considering it sticks out a little more. For speed of charging a power capabilities, this thing is top notch. I am constantly on my electronics, be it a cell phone, Bluetooth headset, or chromebook. This thing can power all of them……at the same time! With a dedicated USB-C port and two standard USB ports, I don’t have to worry about multiple chargers. The price of this device is comparable to others in the same class. Overall, I would recommend this product to someone.

I like this charger - a lot. It has a total of 65 W, 47 of which are for the USB-C charging port which is cool because my laptop/tablet is USB-C. It comes with an 8' USB-C power cable, which adds convenience and it works great. The charger also has 2 USB ports I use for anything USB, mainly iPhone and iPad charging. It's nice to have 2 additional USB ports in the same charger. The charger itself has flip prongs similar to what comes with your iPhone and just plugs into an electrical outlet. It has a mellow blue led power indicator. It looks great and seems to be very well made. As I said I like this charger. Platinum is a new brand name for me and it seems to be a good one. This charges my stuff that needs charging. USB-C is becoming more and more common and having this charger will help me now and in the future.
