Gets way too hot, it’s going back.

At first it seemed ok, all the ports worked well enough. My main complaint is how hot this gets. I use the Mac for hours at a time and really don’t want to worry about issues with it overheating and causing issues down the line. I’ll stick with my dongles i was using, this is going back.

Didn't work

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Immediately upon connecting the hub to my new MacBook Pro, I received an error message saying "USB devices disabled" and indicated the hub required more power. No matter which pair of Thunderbolt ports I connected it to, the message reappeared upon connection even before plugging any other devices into the hub. I attempted to connect an external power source to the "power in" port and that was frightening. The hub made a constant electrical whine and got hot instantly. So I quickly disconnected it. This hub is clearly not compatible with the mid-2018 model of MacBook Pro 13", if any.
