Very cheap product it broke within 3 days. Had to return.

It's easy to review this because it doesn't EXIST!

Purchases and stand broke the first day I used it.

First, I've used the Platinum PT holster case for my last two phones, a Note 4 and a Galaxy S3, and I loved them. I was going to buy one yesterday at the store for the Note 7 which was to be (and was) delivered today. But first I opened the box in the store and saw that the bezel was too high and would slightly overlap the screen. When I matched it up against the store's demo Note 7, it was obvious that you would lose the entire curved screen edge features. Not only would the edges be out of view, but I don't think you could activate the edge menus when the phone is running. The Platinum PT holster case for the S6 Edge that was on hand in the store had the case sides cut down to accommodate that phone's curved edges. This brand new Note 7 case must've been rushed into production without consideration of the screen edges. Don't buy until they correct the design.

First, let me start with saying Platinum products have ALWAYS been Top Notch as far as I am concerned. I have never had a problem/issue in purchasing Platinum accessories before and I go to Best Buy to specifically look for this brand of cell phone accessory because of how satisfied I have been so far. However, the Platinum Holster Case with Kickstand for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has a defect: the case conceals the "Edge" feature of the phone. To use this function, one would have to not only remove the device from the holster, but also remove it from the case as well. I plan on contacting Platinum Customer Service to make note of this and I hope that I am going to hear that not only are they already aware of this defect but they have already begun making the necessary changes. Hopefully Best Buy will remove this holster case from its shelves while awaiting for the defect to be corrected, the new product put into production and ultimately, shipped to stores for sale. So...buyer, if viewing the "Edge" feature is very important to you, think twice prior to purchasing this product. In closing, I still am a huge fan of this product line's cell phone accessories and will continue to seek them out.

I purchased the case and holster as I prefer keeping the phone in a holster versus keeping it in my pocket. I thought the case and holster were of good quality. I wanted to like this case. The issue I had which prevents me from rating it higher relates to the screen coverage of the case. Note 7 is an edge phone and the case made using the edge features difficult. I ended up exchanging this case for one which made the edge features more accessible.

Good product, BUT they didn't do their research on how to access the edge part of the note 7. The case prevents me from even trying to use it. The edges of the case overlap the edges of the phone. Was very disappointed and I'm looking for a better case. I like the holster, but not able to have access to the EDGE of the Note 7 is bad, since the phone was promoted for its edge curves.

The case itself seems to be very sturdy, but the lack of access to the edge of the phone is unforgivable. All the Samsung flagship phones have curved edges. Why would you design a case that prevents access to one of the main selling points Samsung highlights on their devices? 2 stars because the case itself seemed sturdy and some poor middle manager is going to get shown the door for a mistake he didn't make.

I was disappointed that the note 7 released with an edge version only becuase the durability is compromised. While others are disappointed I am happy that this case has a border that completely goes over the edge with a significant raise. I have another case where the edge is accessible on both sides but the actual edge of the screen is not protected. One can only hope that if you drop your phone it falls on a flat surface. There are reviews out there of people who have used a Slim case , dropped their phone and cracked their screen at the edge. The cost for Repair is over 200$. Other then cosmetic, I see no real need for an edge screen. There are other ways to achieve the same quick access from a side bar with some software tweaks. Just my opinion but to each their own. Hopefully I can find a flat screen protector made out of glass that will work with this case.

This is a small refresh of their Galaxy Note 5 holster case, which is a good case, but not so much for the Galaxy Note 7 version of the case, especially since THERE IS NO EDGE SCREEN SUPPORT! The case also obstructs the screen, so you cannot see anything that is actually near the left of right edges of the screen, when using this case. So, even when you disable the "Edge Screen", it still obstructs your view, especially if you need to touch/click on anything on the edge of the screen. I only like the holster part, LOL, but this phone case is just not good enough for a Flag-ship phone, such as the Galaxy Note 7. I guess we'll have to wait for others to come out with a decent holster case for the Galaxy Note 7 that does right by us, in having adequate edge-screen support.

First off, yes the edges are covered by this case, I however can live without it since I don't necessarily care for it. Now if you want acces to it, DON'T get it. It covers the case well and I'm happy with it.

Bought this for my Note7. It covers the sides of beveled screen and makes them unusable. The belt clio snapped off 20 minutes after I put it on. This is going back today!

I loved my husband's case for his Galaxy S7 and wanted the same type and style of case. Bought it and it wouldn't fit. It peels the protective shield that the Best Buy employee put on. Best Buy needs to re-do this case to fit the Note 7 properly. When you do that will you please email me so I can get it. It is the Platinum Holster Case.

I have always brought the platinum cases for all my Samsung Notes and loved them for the fit and the holster. This cases fits the note 7 horribly need to be redesigned quick. I learned the otterbox commuter fits in the holster for this case so that's what I'm usiing now....not that bad.

First I want to say that I have used these cases in the past with great success. The problem with the case for the Note 7 is that it makes the sides of the curved screen unusable. Not only that but if the text on the screen goes all the way from side to side then some of it actually gets covered. Will be returning.

I've been using these on the last few phones I had. (LG G3 & Evo 4g lte) and they were great. This one however is not! The sides of the case totally cover the curved section of the screen which severly reduces the usability of the phone. The holster however works great with my other case that I have.

I have had great results with other versions of this case, but it is clear that the manufacturer did not do their homework properly for this phone. It doesn't allow for proper use of the phone. You cannot access side menu on the curved screen. It will also peel up a screen protector such as a zagg. I am returning this item asap.

I purchased this case because I've used them on all my cell phone, most recently my Samsung S6. I should have known to wait as the last case had to sent back, due to the kickstand. With the case on you are unable to use the edge aspects of the phone. What's the point of having the phone, smh. Hopefully they fix the issue.

As many others have already stated, the design covers up the edges of the screen. This takes away from the beauty of the screen! I'm returning this product and will look for something that will not only protect my device, but also allow me to utilize all of my features.
