Platinum™ - USB A to USB C Adapter, USB 3.0 Spec - Gray Pros: - Compact! - Works as advertised. Cons: - I don't really have any to report. Perhaps it could be magnetic so that it is easier to keep with devices. It's small! Use: I needed a way to connect my USB storage to my mobile device which only had an available USB-C port. This adapter allowed me to do just that! There are devices with USB-C ports which go unused because there aren't enough devices using them other than to charge. If you don't have enough available USB ports, you might consider getting an adapter to put these unused ports to use.

It is an USB 3.0 to USB-C adapter, supporting up to 5 Gbps speeds. I do like the design of it, the silver color shows very well. I used it both on a PC (Windows) and Apple (IPad IOS) products. All worked fine, no issues. I found it to be very handy. I do like show compact it is. No cables, just a small stick. I can plug it in into my iPad (IPad IOS now supports external drives) then insert a flash drive into the adapter and all stays together, nothing hangs down. Overall I am happy with it, looks great, does the job, impact design with no cables. Great companion.

I have a chromebook that only has USBc for charging. This adapter allows me to charge it with a standard USB cable while my USBc socket is charging my phone. Or vice versa. Exactly what I needed when I'm on the road. I no longer have to charge these partially so I can swap them out and charge the other one for a bit. I can fully charge both at the same time with my charger now This is perfect. I just hope I don't lose it due to it's small size

I used this to connect an external USB 2.0 DVD drive to my USB-C Chromebook and it functioned exactly as expected. I now have it in my backpack just in case I ever need it for anything. It is nice and small, so doesn't take any space... probably means I will lose it right before I need it next!

I have been looking for one of these for a little while after buying two new laptops. The USB-C ports on the laptops are great if you have an adapter. I was using the USB ports and bypassing the USB-C as I was looking for the right adapter. This little adapter is perfect and compact. Have not had any issues and I can use more ports on my laptop.

I got this adapter to go with my Platinum USB-C charger. It seems sturdy and durable to use. I have used it plugged into the C port on the charger and also at the end of the "USB-C on both ends" cord that came with the charger. Using it at the end of the cord allowed me to use a USB-A cord which made the charging cord double long!

This is a very simple adapter, but sure comes in handy as USB C starts to become more prevalent. Works flawlessly on my MacBook Pro. It's small and easy to lose, so make sure you have a dedicated place in your bag or on your desk! Works great. looks good (matches the style of my MBP), and feels durable. Recommended!

I have a new notebook that has only USB-C ports, which was a problem! Enter this lil gadget and problem solved! I can now connect a mouse to my notebook, thank goodness because I honestly hate using the mousepad. Also, I can connect my phone to my notebook now and transfer pics/videos quickly and seamlessly. Very happy with this product. And you cant beat the price.

I've used this adapter for a couple weeks and it's very helpful in quick transfers between my phone and USB devices. I have no loss of speed when using this adapter when compared to plugging straight into a USB3.0 port. I would recommend this product when looking for a USB-c to USB3.0 device.

There are times where I run out of usb plugs and I now with this plug I can utilize the C connector that I barely use. Dont have enough know how on speeds except to say that it works great and is nice to bring along with you.

Use this to enable the higher wattage USB type c top port to charge your device faster if it supports it. No really cons except it sticks out a lot. But it works like it should. Also build quality is very nice. I was very impressed with the quality and feel.

Does what it’s supposed to do and is well-constructed. Throw it in your bag and don’t worry about it getting damaged by anything else in there. Solid!

I have the Platinum USB-C wall charger, I thought this adapter would be useful for my laptop but unfortunately it’s not compatible with mine. So this review is based only on what I can’t do with it. I thought it would be great to have an extra USB port on my MacBook Air , who can’t use extra ports, right? Not so, apparently this is designed for new MacBooks and not one from 2018. It didn’t fit in any ports & when it was slightly plugged in my computer rejected it because it used too much power. It never stayed in the port without falling out. All I can use it for is to add another regular USB port to the compatible charger.

It’s ok but better to just buy a USB C to C cable. The adapter wobbles against the USB connection on the computer.

I expected to get an adapter with a female USB C to a male USB A, but what I got was just the opposite! I do believe that the description was incorrect.
