I purchased this specifically for my Pioneer AVH1440NEX in my car. I currently have a Sandisk 64gb that is already at 50% memory usage with my mp3's, wav's, flac's, and my Matrix trilogy. I wanted a bit more room in case I get more movies or HQ song files. WAV and FLAC files are almost 10x the size of a 128k mp3. After almost all of Sunday moving all my files into the new PNY drive which I formatted to FAT32, same as the Sandisk, it is causing my Pioneer head unit to constantly go into the "format read" error. It's constantly restarting the head unit, than says "format read", then restarts and repeats. As good of a value as this drive was I should have stayed with a brand I can rely on like Sandisk.

Only 116GB shows up on Windows properties, that is12GB mysteriously missing. 12Gb is a huge amount missing. 12.8 would be 10% of the flash drive. So I conclude 10% over rated as a 128GB or 10% something I don't understand. Can someone answer how 10% don't show up in a Windows properties click?

I have the few gigs on my laptop but i have all my essentials on this every last one with about 5 gigs left for more. sweet.

The drive is pretty slow. Large files get up to about 6 MB/s. With lots of small files, the write speed drops to around 1 KB/s. That is very bad. Can't recommend this one.

Some confusing reviews on this drive but only because of all the paid/sponsored fake reviews. The flash drive is a trash. Write speeds are only 1.3mbs! That like 1998 speeds!. Thought maybe it was just the one I bought but nope, another review says the same. Also the female at the return center was rude. Best of luck staying in business Bestbuy your on the downhill slope....eesh

need to be careful with these flash drives because they sometimes go bad. you may want to consider backing up data onto multiple flash drives or go to the cloud

I can not believe the good reviews for this item. I bought two of these and wish I had not. They did transfer files VERY VERY SLOWLY on my Macs. I get a message when trying them on my Win 7 that they had to format before use and both showed 200 MB capacity. WHAT IS UP with that. I had to use my MacBook to format them and that took several attempts to get Win 7 to actually use them. I have been attempting to backup files most of yesterday and today before doing an upgrade of Windows but it is taking FOREVER.

It's a decent usb flash drive. But it's really slow if you're transferring anything big. And I couldn't figure out how to protect it with a password. The PNY rep I spoke with over the phone said that it would require third-party software. I would have bought something else, if I had realized that.

These flashdrives are decent for the price. Not the speediest out there, but fine if you aren't in a hurry. I most often buy this brand to save money.

THIS THING not meant for BIG gigabyte transfer even though It prefect space for me but now this thumb drive can rest in peace but it died mid transfer of 3 gigabyte transfer i don't think should been doing it in the first place

I liked the idea of a capless flash drive. It was tough to slide the cover back to insert into computer. After spending hours transferring photos from my computer to flash drive, I discovered sliding cover does not slide closed. What good is it if the cover won't slide closed? I dread having to transfer the same photos again onto another flash drive. I won't trust this design again.

Man, talking about getting really irritated with a piece of electronics! Loaded most of my mp3 collection, spent hours tagging album art and editing tag info ONLY to have the thumb drive quit working a couple of weeks later! I had planned to save the "updated" mp3s to my network drive but the drive failed before I had that chance to do that! Will never purchase another PNY drive, terrible device!

its fine -- I'm concerned about leaving large quantities of data on such a compact disk

Despite trying to use this on multiple windows 11 PCs it does not work. Compatibility error every time. Works fine on windows 7 PC without any issues. System recognizes and opens right up. Windows 11 continually displays error message. Garbage considering it does not day anywhere that it isn’t compatible. Returning.

I usually just buy the cheapest option out there, but I think this mixes quality and value. No brainer.

Great usb. Pretty fast uploading speeds, adequate downloading speed. Highly recommended at sale price.

This is a 2.0. The 3.0 is 10x faster. Get the 3.0.

I should return it because it doesn’t work, I could give it 0 but not option for that.
