    Passable storage for the price.. Get the USB 3.0 version if you can pony up the extra couple of dollars and have the USB 3.0 port on your laptop or computer.

    I knew this was a USB 2.0 (slower) but I bought it to simplify video file transfers from my Macs to my QNAP NAS. Does the job well. Good value. Just not as fast as advertised even for a USB 2.0. Out of curiosity I tested SMB, AFP, NTFS & FAT32. All are slow so don't bother... even on one of my Macs on steroids. Also a bit annoying since doesn't stay put when clicked open (retract to expose USB) but is does click shut (and stays shut) so I guess that's not too bad. I can live with it.
