If you need a compact flash drive with both USB-A and USB-C and aren't planning on transferring more than around 50MB of data at a time, this should work just fine. It's stylish, though I have longevity concerns about the uncapped USB connectors, and is a reasonable price for the 128GB of capacity. With that out of the way, there's a reason PNY doesn't advertise any figures for write speed (to my knowledge). When attempting to move less than half a gigabyte of photos at once, the drive exhibited thermal throttling within a few seconds and write speeds dropped from around 40-50MB/s to under 10MB/s. After that transfer, which took around a minute in total, the drive was already noticeably warm. Previously, under a much more demanding test (over 50GB of data, transferred via the USB-C end to a USB4-capable port), the drive became extremely hot to the touch within the first ten minutes and Windows reported only 2% progress, at which point I gave up. Ultimately, I think this is probably much more capacity than a drive of this performance level should have, as any task that would make effective use of the storage space on hand will likely take an extremely long time.

Abysmal write speeds, saved by dual form factor

Abysmal write speeds...which is probably why they're not mentioned anywhere in the description. I incorrectly assumed 200MB/s read speeds might apply to writing. USB 3.2 Gen 1 has a spec speed of 5Gbps, or 625MB/s. The 200MB/s number is low by USB 3.2 standards, but the price and the dual form factor make up for it a little bit. At 200MB/s, copying a 50GB file would take around 4.25 minutes (heavily rounded). My transfer of a 50GB file is 2GB in and has "about an hour" left. I think these little sticks throttle due to heat, but not sure. Either way, I would not recommend these to anyone.
