The usb used to plug directly into my Pixel 8 Pro and my Mac but no longer works with the phone. No matter what type of phone I plug it into it sees it as needing to be formatted. This defeated the purpose of transfering my photos to the thumb drive.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Abysmal write speed, nowhere near advertised 100MB/s, I copied 20GB file to the flashdrive and it averaged 24.79MB/s Read speed was consistent at 218MB/s, but so what, it takes ~15min to write a 20GB file, and it gets much worse when writing many small files. I'm disappointed, and it is overpriced.

Writing large files, 2-3 GB, to this drive fluctuate between 29 to 45 MB/sec. Writing a folder with a lot of under 1 MB files drops to less than 6 MB/sec. Still useful, as long as you don't mind the long write times. It is still a lot faster than any USB 2 thumb drive I have, except for the speed of small file writes.
