Reliable and handy to have

These days 16G is relatively small, but buying them in packs of five, especially when on sale, allows one to give them away when there's a need to physically give files to someone or to use as backup storage for smaller sets of files. I also use these with a USB hub on my Roku to have different music or video files on each one.

convenient size

Many times when hard drives fail, I need to reinstall Windows. I popped this into an existing PC along with the original install disk, and converted a boot disk into a boot USB drive. With 5 flash drives, I can now carry 5 different versions of windows, from v7 to v10 and I'm ready to start restoring. They are also handy for transferring files when a network is too slow.
