USB 2.0 and thumb drives in general aren't meant to substitute for HDD or SSD performance. PNY has made a good product. Sleeve-type design for protecting the contacts is smart - no lost caps. Good choice.

PNY USB 2.0 Flash Drive (5-pack)

They have always worked without fail and are great to depend on when transferring data from palce to place. I've been using them for probably the last 2 or 3 years, and recently had to buy more for additional data archive/backup.

I use them to give documents and other media to co-workers and expecting not to EVER get them back. If that's what you need five stars. However, I can only give them four as they are slow for write/read speed. I am not a fan of the plastic slide cover. Some are too easy to slide open and close. Others are way to hard to slide open/close. Maybe one or two of them have a good tension on them. But they are good for the price.
