Almost a perfect solution but OK!

Everything worked exactly as it should with no problems, I even got in on sale for $12.98 because it was the older slower 2.0 USB configuration. Turned out that 64 gigs wasn't enough memory capacity to save everything I needed so I used an external portable Seagate GoFlex that I also found at best buy. Problem solved. dd

Then I use a USB extension for convenience to connect to my HD TV to watch my recorded videos. I could do this over the network, but it's faster and portable.
