But definitely there was NO degradation of processor speed When you buy, ensure that the Operating System specified matches with your Laptop [very important]

I upgraded a HP Windows 8 machine. I have had the upgrade for 6 weeks without any problems. I have a Blue Yeti mic with a Logitech HD cam that I use for daily webinars while using two separate charting programs. The memory upgrade was a must and it has worked very well.

A bit pricey

Very Good Replacement for Single Slot Laptops

The trend now for major laptop makers is to eschew the dual memory slots in favor of only a single slot. This was an economical and direct solution to go from 4gb to 8gb. These would be ideal in some ultra portables or even late generation AMD netbooks.

I asked the computer manager how easy it was to upgrade the ACER memory and how to do it. He said, "Let's check it out" and proceeded to take the back off the computer on display. He showed me where the memory was located so all I had to do was pop the back off and snap it into place when I got home. Super easy.
