Bought three of these to use as DVD backups for my Operating systems ( I always scratch dvds to death) price was amazing ($10+ each) PNY is a strong company but the design of the plastic protective sleeve is horrendous, once you slide closed it is nearly impossible to re open with out a flat piece of metal or extreme force- I pulled the plastic guard off with a set of needle nose pliers, snipped of the catch and it was ok. bottom line is if you need to use this often get a different model. if you rarely use it like I do with two of them then go for it-

I use it to transfer data from one computer to another. Compact, easy to use, works as good as it should.

The Flash Drive is very easy to use and easy to transport. The size holds lot of information.

I got this flash drive for the very good price, I paid $20 for 8gb. I have only used it a few times, and so far it's worked decently, but the sliding cover does not slide up all the way. I have to pull on it way too hard to completely close it, so much so that I feel like I may be damaging the drive by attempting to close it. I didn't think the exposed opening on the drive would be too much of an issue, but if it doesn't close at all, it's not worth the money.

I'm not sure why people in the reviews were saying it's hard to open and close. They must have had a faulty product. I found it easy to open and very easy to use. I got it on sale for $9.99 where their competitor's best price was $9.99 for only 4GB.

I bought this from BB to use to place some scanned photos for a friend. It was at a great sale price of $5.99 and at 8gb it will have plenty of space for other things my friend may want to put on it. I also have several PNY Flash Drives myself and have been very happy with their quality and design.

I bought my drive online, and picked it up in the store 30 minutes later. I have used it as a boot device, and for transferring large packages easily. I love the cap-less design, there is nothing to lose and it makes it a compact drive. If you need a drive for larger files or for everyday storage this is the one.

The PNY USB 2.0 8GB stick is great for small file transfer. The speed is a fast for a 2.0 but it can vary from time to time. I only use it for file transfer so it does its job. PNY is a great brand and for this price, its a bargain.

This is a great gift idea for the Holidays as everything information wise now a days is put onto removable media instead of burning a CD/DVD. PNY always makes a great product that is reliable and they stand behind their products all the way.

I really like the build of it, feels sturdy and complete. The price on this was outstanding for an 8gb drive. The only downside really is that I had to format it twice for it to finally work on my MacBook Pro, but it works nonetheless.

Bought four of these to use because they were a daily deal and very reasonably priced. They work well and we haven't have any issues in the couple months we've been using them.

This product leaves much to be desired. The main problem is the protective slide cover - HORRIBLE. It's ridiculously hard to slide back and forth, often getting stuck in the open position (leaving the USB connector unprotected). I have to use pliers to close it, as I am unable to do so by hand. Notching the case with scissors does little to help. Second, the key-ring hole is built along a seam, which means that the case will separate and detach the USB drive from whatever you've secured it to. Has a write speed of about 7.5 mb/s and a read speed of about 14.5 mb/s, consistently. Capacity and performance are average compared to my much older USB drives, but it is by far the worst designed flash drive I own. I expected more from PNY. I gave it a "good" value for price only because it was on sale for $10. Now I know why. I would NOT recommend this product to a friend.

I bought this because I needed an easier way to move files among computers at work when our network was behaving badly. Great product.

Wanted one more flash drive for additional capacity. This one was on sale for $9.95 and it's not a complete no-name product. The cap is a bit tight, but not impossible to deal with. The device is not always recognized right away. Sometimes, I have to remove/insert it more than once. I am just not confident that the drive is working properly and that makes me nervous. Also, it does not have a flashing light (available on all other flash drives I have used) to indicate that the drive is recognized and is being written to/read. I prefer having this feature.

I bought this little drive to back up as much of my desktop as I could and it worked well.

No issues, works great and decent price! I have used to save all my photos and done some transferring and all has worked out fine.
