I like that the usb connector doesn't retract when you push it in like some others.

needed a flash drive and this one fit the need. simple and clean.

I didnt need any crazy storage space, I only wanted to move video and picture files from my laptop to desktop so it works just fine.

I use it to back up several things and transfer to another computer also. Works great

If you are looking for a fast way to transfer files, look elsewhere. The read speed is ok but the write speed is terrible. Transferring 1-2 GB files from PC to the flash drive took 3-5minutes per file. Also you have to format it if you want to free up some additional space and convert from FAT to NTFS format.

Fast transfer rate no cap to lose serving its purpose.

I know $17.99 seems cheap for 8 Gbytes but if you need tha much space you have large volumes of data. With that you would like fast access. I copied a 2 Gb volume of data and it took half an hour. When I transfered that data back to the network Win7 said it would take 4 hours. Got out my WD passport instead. Does not operate like USB 2.0. My WinXP notebook told me that faster USB was available for the dirve "click here". This usually is an indicator to me that something is preventing USB 2.0 functionality or speed. None of my SanDisk products have this issue. You get what you pay for and from PNY it's sometimes even less than that.

I have enjoyed my drive. It's not extremely fast, but it is on par with other USB drives.

This Flash Drive was a great deal for the price I got at Best Buy - $6.00. My problem is that when I went to transfer Solid Works IGES files to it the computer couldn't "see" it. I took it to another computer and had the same problem. I then put it in the oldest computer that we have and it showed up. I transferred my files and added some new jpeg files to the drive. I drove an hour to our printing company and gave them the drive. When they went to install the drive into their computer the same problem happened as before: Their computer could not find the drive. The drive works fine with one computer and can be used to store data, but can become a problem if I need to transfer files from one computer to another.

It's a good product for personal use as storage, but it's not compatible with MP3 Player in my Hona Civic which means the MP3 player in my Hona Civic can't read music file from this Flash Drive.

For an 8 gb usb flash drive the size of this is pretty monstrous. There are many competing drives that are half the size of this one. Other than that the performance is what you'd expect.

I keep the flash drive stick on my keychain using the hole provided. This is the second PNY 8GB flash drive that has broken - each lasts about 2 months. Poor design: Hole for keyring is on a corner and the hole not only runs longitudinally with the seam of the two halves for the cover, but it is ON THE SEAM. If you don't carry it on a chain, this doesn't matter. If you do, DO NOT BUY THIS!!
