USB 2 speeds so large transfers take a while, but most of my work is in the MB range not GB range, so not an issue.

You'll have to be patient though as it is only USB 2.0. Read speeds are good enough, but writing large files takes longer than I expected. If you want fast writes, you really need to look at drives with USB 3.0 or faster.
