I got it because of the PNY name and it was on sale. However, this has a very slow, I mean really slow writing speed. If you don't mind waiting then get it.

if negative stars were available i would select them. the design has the cover slide back and forth so you never lose it, good idea in theory. BUT, the cap doesn't slide back far enough to insert into your computer properly and in my case doesnt even get recognized. now im off to return it and was some life. fml!

I bought this because I needed a drive and couldn't wait for online purchase. The capless design is not optimal. The purpose of the cap is to keep contaminants off of the contacts. I liked their model with the cap, but I won't being buy more of these capless models.

Glad I wasn't the only person that had the issue, but this drive would not go into the USB port; almost as though its connector is oversized. When I took it back, an associate commented that he had to do the same thing. I'm not sure what happened because I previously had the same type of drive and had no issue, but it appears they haven't maintained quality. I would stay away unless you'll primarily use it in a USB hub because otherwise it might kill your PC's USB port integrity.

My title says it all. This is the kind of thing that will turn you away from a product/mfg forever. I have six other thumb drives from four different mfgs, my computer recognizes all of them, but not this one. In my book products that don't work get Zero Stars since they just wasted my time and money.

Worked fine for about a month, then it just quit. I didn't even carry it around or anything that would break the thing, it just sat at my desk. I tried formatting on OSX and Windows, but it won't complete. I won't buy PNY anything anymore.

I purchased 9/26/210, it died in late October 2011 and PNY was willing to do nothing. These devices should certainly last longer than 13 months. Based on this experience I will not purchase PNY products and cannot recommend them to others. Would recommend sticking with Sandisk for a reliable product that also comes with a 2 year warranty.

Actually I bought this so I'd have extra memory for my Xbox 360. Unfortunately this flash drive is not compatible. (It gives an error when you try to format it on the 360. The exact error is "Your device failed the data loss test and can't be configured. Please use a different device."
