PNY must be trying to save a few pennies on the USB connector on this flash drive. Instead of the normal metal USB connector it has a plastic one. Wouldn't be so bad except the plastic connector is too big and doesn't fit in the USB plug on my computers!!

    What else would you expect?

I've used PNY/Attache-style flash drives for years, gradually moving up in size as my needs required it. Anyone who uses these items won't be surprised with this latest incarnation: it's a larger-capacity, micro-sized data storage tool. It does what it's supposed to, and does it quickly (data is transferred about 1.5 times as fast as my similar 16-gig drive, and four times as fast as the 8-gig I bought in 2006). The "flash" element is for looks only; it's pretty weak compared to other, smaller drives. But do you really care how bright the little "data is copying" light is? So far, stability seems fine. These larger drives (in general) have a tendency to crash more often than their smaller cousins. This is also (for the moment at least) the largest flash drive you can buy that carries the traditional rectangular flash drive shape. Someone else makes a 64-gig, but it's twice as thick (go figure). Outside of the price, there isn't much negative to say about it. I bought mine during an after-Christmas sale for half price, and was able to use a $10 Rewards coupon, so I got a real deal. It's Mac compatible, but I don't know if any special software is needed. And anyone who's used PNC knows the deal about the cap that lacks a cord and might become lost. I haven't lost one in five years, but they do crack after extended use. So, thus far, it's everything I expect. Here's looking to the faster USB 3.0 version that's supposed to be out soon. Regardless, I expect to use this one for at least two years.

It's slower than my other 32G drives, and it's a slider, which I couldn't tell in the packaging. It looked like it had a cap. Oh, well, I'll use it for the year and then retire it like I do with all my thumb drives. And the price was pretty good.

Would not recommend this flash drive. I ended up returning this to Best Buy after I found out that the USB connector on this flash drive wasn't metal, but was instead plastic.

This USB does the job, but having to pull the cap up is annoying. There is no little switch to push down to lock the cap in place. It takes a strong tug on the table to do the job.

I always got PNY flash drives, from the very beginning 256 MB, 2GB, 8GB, 16GB, to this new 32GB. But one thing I don't like at all is this new 32 GB having the push in/out instead of the real cover.

Dont know why it didnt hold my computer contents on the entire flash drive. My computer doesnt have much info on it and I needed 2 DVD discs to continue to contain all the contents. Not sure why.

Prints great photos. When it prints there is a long delay and the printer makes a lot of noise cleaning or self checking or something. When copying it will cut the edge off of the page when it is printed. Contacted Canon and the representative said that it was supposed to do that and was normal. This is the main reason I bought the printer, to copy.

After about a month of occasional use this flash drive stopped working. I tried it on three different personal computers and none of them was able to read it any more. I expected longer life from this flash drive.
