Speeds up boot time signifantly. Installs just like a hdd

I brought 2 of these on a really good sale. I always wanted to switch out the HD drive in my laptop because Toshiba was terribly cheap and put in a hd with 5400 rpm. After a little work installing and fixing windows I got this to boot up. Took less than 5 seconds to get to the windows login screen. Just amazing, no problems so far.

I bought this when it was on sale. It is very fast, I put my OS on it and now it boots up within seconds

This SSD drive is fast and easy to install. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to upgrade a system.

Great price on a good ssd. It's not the fastest one on the market but it is fast enough for a budget.

My hybrid 500gb hard drive stopped working about a year and a half or so after I bought my laptop. I needed a hard drive desperately for school so I bought this at best buy. The hard drive is quick and has more than enough space for my needs (240gb). It works slightly faster than the stock 500gb hybrid and I am impressed.

I bought the PNY 240GB SSD drive as an upgrade for a 5 year old Windows 7 64-Bit computer. With the SSD installed it works great and is REALLY fast !!! The instructions were clear and it only took about an hour to install the drive and backup my old data. Be sure to register so you upgrade your warranty to three years!

I've bought four of these PNY SSD drives (240 & 480 GB). The only issue I've encountered with them is that they apparently report a bogus temperature via S.M.A.R.T. Acronis Drive Monitor reports them as running at 212 F / 100 C. But the drives work fine, and are, of course, very fast compared to spinning rust.

For: PNY - CS1100 240GB Serial ATA III Solid State Drive So, I have not performed any performance tests or anything like that. I am using this SSD in a drive dock running Windows 10-x64. I did not have any OS installation issues or issues with the drive dock. The SSD is so fast compared to a mechanical HD.

This is an outstanding value SSD. I have used this in many conventional hdd upgrades. It is not the fastest SSD on the market, but bang-for-your-buck you cannot beat it! I consistently get 400MB/s read & write on this drive. Didn't give 5 stars because read/write speeds could be faster. If you are still using a conventional hdd, or your conventional drive has failed, buy this drive, and enjoy your upgrade!!

My cousin came to visit me and brought her windows tower. It was full of malware. We quickly decided to reinstall windows including all updates then mirror the drive using this SSD. Her windows 7 computer runs amazingly fast now. The drive has no issues and she is completely happy. Your welcome cousin

decent price & worthwhile upgrade from hdd to ssd. made notebook seem faster: faster boot times & app loads. no prob yet. note: did clean install vs migration.

I install these for friends and students and they are fast and reliable

My 8 year old Mac Book Pro 500gb Hard Drive finally gave out. Replaced it with this drive since total usage for my mobile laptop was only 100GB. My boot time went from average of about 40 seconds to amazing 15 seconds. It actually boots faster than my iMac with platter based Hard Drive.

Drive is very good. No problems installing in my laptop, no performance issues.

I had a friend install this product in my 2008 MacBook Pro and it increased the speed and made it seem like I had a brand-new computer after it was installed. I would highly recommend this product to anyone especially those who think their computers could use a faster processing speed.

I bought this ssd to upgrade my late 2009 MacBook white. Even though I won't be able to enjoy it to its full potential because the MacBook won't support it, it still has improved the overall speed. Plus now I can move my MacBook freely without worrying bout messing up the spin drive.

This replaced a different SSD drive I had in an older machine. The machine is now blazingly fast. I wouldn't have thought such an inexpensive upgrade would make such a difference. You'll be glad you have a sheet with a replaceable drive, when you see the difference in costs to buy it with SSD from the manufacture. Instructions were little sparse, which is why I took away a star.
