Loaded windows 7 ultimate really quick no issues being read by motherboard. Several reboots and all updates loaded fine. Loaded and plays games real fast. Very satisfied with product.

I bought this to replace laptop standard disk which I did np but I thought it would be faster than what it turned out to be. I got cause price was good but I think if you looking for performance check other products like Intel's which I had better luck with.

I Am using no this drive for boot and some other storage and found it extreme good value and it does it effectively.

This is my first SSD drive. Ive always wanted to start upgrading all my drives to them, but the cost always stopped me. I have no use for a drive smaller than 500GB and even that is the absolute smallest, so 1TB tends to be the size of necessity for me. Well, over time the prices have become a lot more reasonable and I decided to grab one and give it a try in my PS3. Im a Fallout freak so with the recent announcement of Fallout 4, I decided to get back into Fallout: New Vegas. Anyone who has played the Fallout games on PS3 knows the pains of loading screens and performance issues. After switching out drives and doing everything I needed to do to get the PS3 back running, I jumped back into my Fallout: New Vegas save and I could instantly feel the differences. The loading screens are noticeably cut down, the performance is definitely better... there were areas that would drop to unplayable framerate levels forcing me to end my game to fix it that I havent been hit by yet... its literally a game changer. Now Im considering running back to Best Buy for another one to put in my PS4!

Considering a drive of this size used to be over $400 not too long ago, I'm glad the prices have come down where it's in reach for those of us who are, let's say, financially challenged. Besides the amazing price, the speed is amazing as well. I was working on a Dell Inspiron laptop with a crashed hard drive, and I figured buying a SSD was a good choice since the hard drive crash was a traumatic experience. I was right. This SSD is rock solid, no problems. An added benefit is the speed. No regular hard drive could be this fast, especially not a laptop one. Windows boots up in seconds. I can actually patiently stare and count, and it can go from cold OFF to ON and running very quickly.

I installed this in an external enclosure and used it as a USB boot drive for my iMac - it did work, out of the box, for about a year. One day it failed and my Mac crashed. I'm a tech and have resurrected many failed Macs/PCs but this one would not come back. I did try several different enclosures but all tests point to the drive itself. I expected a LOT more from an SSD drive from PNY!
