For those who are unaware of the speed of a solid state hard drive, I have to recommend to you the PNY brand available at best buy. These drives are 20 times faster than a normal sata drive and because PNY has been making SD camera cards for so long, they have become proficient at producing the SSD hard drives. I can easily say these are the best hard drives on the market at this time and always available at best buy.

I love how quick ssds are compared to old HDDs. This is a good entry level model for a home computer affordable and fast. Not to much memory though.

Picked up drive in store after a wait of about a week. Installed in an external case and formatted it. Very quick SSD at a great price with some BB rewards..

Wanted to put my OS on it for fast booting. Computer loads faster than the seiki flat screen tv the computer is hooked up to. About 7 seconds

I bought a 120GB PNY SSD from Best Buy and it worked right away. I installed it on my ACER Laptop from Amazon and the system recognized it right away. I installed Windows Server 2012 R2 on the system and it is fast. Works great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 960GB SSD for personal laptops is a better deal. You won't need to upgrade for 5 to 10 years.

It is so worth the price. Dramatic boot time reduction and drive reading. Used to take over 5 minutes to boot, but now it only takes a few. This is on a six year old laptop, so the SATA bus is not as fast as the more recent laptops and doesn't use the maximum speed capable of the drive on this laptop, but still a worthwhile investment.

I put this in my husband's computer which was like some many older Windows machines - deathly slow! This SSD made a huge difference (much more than the extra RAM I installed). The drive is plenty large enough for him as he just does email and web surfing. Great drive for a good price. Hopefully it will last a while!

This isn't my first SSD & I recommend them to any one that wants to speed up your laptop or desktop computer. Undoubtedly the SSD is the best bang for your buck when upgrading a computer. I have used PNY before & will definitely use PNY again. I don't think you will ever go wrong with an SSD from PNY.

Very easy to install on my HP laptop. Quick boot up. I wish I bought a larger capacity SSD for future use.

I needed an SSD to install clean Apple OSX on multiple computer. With a SATA USB 3 adapter I am able to do complete installs in 5 minutes vs an hour and a half online. I own Samsung 850 EVO's, Toshiba, OCZ and PNY SSD's and this one is comparable in speed and quality. Great Value for an SSD

this is my first SSD drive. easy to use, great SSD for beginners and haven't had any issues! i should have bought more memory for it but it's being used in an older computer (8 year old toshiba) and it's running faster than my macbook air. will be buying another for the macbook soon

Replaced with existing HDD with SSD and works super fast. Running with Windows 10.

Just replaced this drive with another PNY of higher storage capacity. This drive has worked well thus far and is now installed in another PC and continues to work as expected This SSD provides excellent value for the money

Bough the ssd to replace a failing mechanical drive in my Hp g71 laptop. The change in performance was night and day... the boot time is now only seconds and with the windows swap now having such read/write speeds it has the performance to last for many more years.

My wife has a desktop she uses for her office, a simple i5 desktop. The hard drive. died so I decided to buy a new one. Surprisingly for me, I found that SSD drives got prices down since the last time I bought one. And I found this 120G SSD, for which I immediately research reviews, and it looks pretty good. Well, I bought it, install it, and my wife is so happy. And you know what they say "To be happy, make you wife happy". The drive is very fast, it has no issues with the desktop interface, and installing windows was faster than ever. She was more amazed due to reduction of noise (her desktop is fan-less, so the old HD was the noisy guy). Applications she uses are not fancy, but are database related, and she said there is a huge difference now. The on/off time was greatly improved and I'm very sure consumption also dropped. This is a great choice.

Bought this drive to replace a worn out HDD. Works great so far, easy to install and decent price. Not much to say, works up to specs, can't judge the life of the drive yet as it's only been a few months but I have had no problems with it so far.

This 2nd Generation SSD from PNY is a great performance add-on to any desktop. simply cannot beat the prices to performance gain... Only negative to this is it does not include any mounting screws.

Running OS X on an iMac 4K with external enclosure. Way faster than internal hhd.

This fast and easy upgrade for my laptop has dramatically improved its performance. Boots up lightning fast and comes out of sleep mode so quickly it's hard to tell it went to sleep! Recommended for anyone still running off a non SSD drive.
