Purchased this for my work laptop, was tired of it taking forever to boot up in my customers homes. Quick, easy install, excellent performance, a bit difficult to get the software downloaded, instead of needing a special key it would be easier to just do what other companies do and just make it auto-detect your product. I can however see both sides of that arguement.

I was getting my old "backup" computer repaired at Best Buy, trying to install a newer, bigger hard drive, in an older HP machine, to go from a 2Tb HD to a 4Tb data HD. Because the native Win 7 OS on that machine would not recognize larger than 2Tb HD's, they tried but could not clone the new drive to get my Windows 7 OS to move to the new drive, and to get it to work in the older HP environment. The tech had a creative solution and said he would try adding this PNY internal Solid State HD to the computer box, and then put the start up files, & Win 7 OS, on the SSD HD. That Worked. What is very cool about the Tech. doing that, was the side benefit of a much more rapid start up, when I turn that computer on now. It used to take ~10 minutes or longer to get this older HP CPU started, since it is normally kept turned off. Now it starts up and is ready to use in about 2 minutes...... very impressive. This SSD HD was not very expensive, and was a creative solution to upgrading an older computer.

Added as boot drive to existing HDD with windows 7 Professional already installed. Had to clean install OS again with necessary programs. Remarkable improvement for read/right as compared to SATA HDD. --Removed the windows folder from HDD once everything is working ok. If upgrading to SSD, change to AHCI Bios before installing the OS-for better performance.

I do a lot of big data analytics running large quantities of data through my home computers. The computer where this disk was placed holds a lot of temporary storage and will go from 10% utilized up to 90% and back down to 10% every couple of hours every day of the week since purchased. In short, this drive has had lots of reads and writes with no errors.

I purchased this unit as part of my custom PC Build. The PNY read and write speed are comparable to Samsung's EVO 750 & 850 SSD Units. The have great reviews all over the internet and will increase your computer operation speeds and will greatly reduce your boot load time. This unit is solid and should satisfy the majority of people that purchase one.

I purchased this SSD for my girlfriend as a replacement to her 5400 rpm stock drive in her laptop. Once I successfully cloned and switched out the drives, the startup time went from 1 min and 20-30 seconds for each full boot up down to a literal 6 seconds to fully use windows. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a budget SSD.

Boot time is very quick. Easy to install. Great with windows 10.

Drive is fast, but now i wish i would have gotten a bigger one.
