Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the CS1311 120GB Internal SATA III Solid State Drive's performance, price, and ease of installation. Many appreciate the improved boot times and the transition to a solid-state drive. A common concern, however, was the limited storage capacity of the 120GB model. Some users wished they had opted for a larger capacity drive.

It was a really good upgrade for my 4 year old laptop. Awesome improvements in wake time, program running and overall speed. Would recommend this item hugely. Nonetheless, its performance is not as goos as others with higher random write speed. Plus, packaging felt cheap.

I originally purchased this SSD for my first custom pc build. However, I would highly recommend buying a larger capacity for a system drive, as 120gb is a little small and I don't have that much free space after two years of using the SSD.

It's hard to say anything negative about an 120 GB SSD for this price. Overall the intall and setup is as easy as any SSD available today. The performance is on par with my Samsung 840 Pro which was about twice the price for the same capacity as this drive.

Usually PNY memory gets a bad rap for being susceptible to instability/inconsistency, but mine (120 and 960 GBs) have been clocking well and haven't had any issues (other than they didn't fit in the vert positions in my chassis due to the cables I purchased).

As a computer technician, I have installed over 30 of these PNY SSD. I have not had a single problem with them and love the performance. I read samsung is suppose to be the best but I cannot tell the difference between these two. Would recommend.

PNY SSD drives from Best Buy remain my top SSD upgrade suggestion. Upgraded numerous systems for friends and family with these SSDs. No need for me to order online from other sellers, I can pick up a great drive for a great price locally at my Best Buy!

I wanted to give a little boost to my desktop so I decided to get this for faster load times. So far it is pretty good I have no idea about the specifics speed or if it did increase the file transfer speeds but the boot up time is way better.

Excellent speed and reliability. I purchased this item after reading stellar reviews about its data transfer rate. It never drops below 600 MB. I work in system administration and having a drive with such speed allows me to work much faster.

Access time from power on to desktop went from 128 seconds to less than 30 seconds... Don't think doubling the RAM or larger video card would add the speed results from replacing a SATA 7200 rpm HDD with a Solid State Hard Drive

I really like SSD hard drives. This is my first PNY brand hard drive but it performs flawless sofar. The price is right and the build quality looks good, all in all it looks like a great product and I hope to use this for a long time.

My mac mini was really slow. So I decided to get a SSD for it. Wow what a difference! Almost as good as my MBP. It was a little challenging to get access to the drive they way the mini is packaged but it was well worth the effort.

For the price you get a great product. I upgraded from a older HD. Which took forever to load windows. I loaded windows to this SSD and is like 10x faster loading time for all programs on computer that are installed to this SSD

120GB isn't the biggest but for the project I'm doing (bringing a little extra life to an older core i3) it works just fine and at $50 the price was right. And it comes with a copy of Acronis for copying the existing OS to it.

I used this drive to install my operating system onto and utilize the fast response times while the apps and data went to the legacy spinning drive. Perfectly working to date.

Solid state drives are much faster and less prone to failure than "spin" drives. I purposely went with a low capacity drive because I don't use the primary "C" drive for storage. For about $40, these drives are hard to beat.

I have an older 2010 core i7 with a terabyte hard drive. My window's install was flaking out and I decided that it would be nice to upgrade to a SSD boot drive. Since I only have SATA 2, the drive maxes the bus out and a higher end, faster drive would not get me any more speed. Installed easily, BIOS recognized it, I reinstalled windows 10 to it - no issues, and it runs as my boot drive. I deleted the windows install off my terabyte platter drive and kept it as a data drive. Nice thing is Steam recognized the game files on the other drive and did not require re-downloading, the 'installed' the first time I ran them. A couple did need to download a file or two - I used the verify local file integrity checker in Steam. Made for a relatively painless upgrade.
