I got this so I would not have to have my operating system on my hard drive. This is so much quicker on the startup. I cut my time from about a minute to under 30 seconds. Well worth the money. I would suggest that if you download big files to get a bigger ssd or set it up to where your downloads go straight to your hard drive.

What I can I say, it's a reasonable price SSD drive. Reading other review it states that it's slower than other SSD drives but if you're coming for a regular HD than then you would never notice. I just bought this for a back up for another drive.

Great Choice for SSD - fast, reliable and reasonably priced

This is the cheapest, fastest solid state hard drive that you can buy.

I've bought a few of these now as they're perfect for small boot drives or even spare drives just to have. This last one I purchased I put in my Unraid server as a caching drive and increased my transfer speeds by more than double! Perfect cheep alternative if you're looking for a small capacity SSD for under $30.

Good little SSD that makes older PCs and Laptops run faster. Even if you have an existing hard drive for storage, adding a small solid state drive for booting can save you lots of time. The 3.5 SATA form factor unit can either fit in an existing drive bay or it can be mounted anywhere with double sided tape (The length of your SATA cable permitting).

Needed hard drive to test hand built computer. Found it On Best Buy web site. They were the only ones that had a $20 hard drive! I ordered it and it was ready in less than 1 hour. I ran down picked it up. No wait super easy. Not much storage but it is super fast. My start up is in a blink. Still using it.

Very impressed with this, especially, for the money. I can't speak to the longevity of it, but the speed is great. I replaced an old laptop HDD with this and the difference is night and day. Also compared to an old Samsung 850 Evo (boot only, no benchmarking) and I didn't notice any difference.

This is a great SSD. It replaced a 7200 RPM HD in my 2008 MacBook Pro. The computer now only takes about 12 seconds to boot and login where as before it took a few minutes to start up. While this SSD has less space than my old HD, at this price, I will take the speed upgrades over the space! Everything just seems so much quicker!

I have to admit that I did not do the research that I should have before buying this SSD. I have bought PNY products before and they had been reliable so I went by that (but the price was also very reasonable). I have been impressed by the speed of the drive in both read and writes. If you can get it on sale like I did I would not hesitate to pick one up.

I have been upgrading my laptops from mechanical hard drives to the new SSD drives. Wow, I could not have imagined the improvement in terms of speed not to mention extended battery life. This was an amazing deal from Best Buy and went into a spare laptop I keep around "just in case." Very pleased with my purchase.

I repair computers for a living and the most common problem I see is a bad hard drive. Most folks are just using the internet these days and don't require large drives. With this hard drive, I can fix a computer inexpensively while making the computer 10X faster.

These low cost drives make a dual core 4GB of ram PC, react and work much better with win 10. Every time they are on sale I buy 1 or 2 more, and upgrade everything I have. Including laptops. I just bought a 500GB for the wife laptop which I will be imaging/swapping drive. Will purchase again.
