If you're looking for something other than an HDD but less expensive than an M.2 or NVME for more space, this is worth looking at.

Roughly around $70 when bought for an older laptop whose FireCuda 2 tb was on its way out. So far the PNY, boots up quicker, seems faster in all aspects of what this laptop is used for.
