I bought a Nikon D5100 on 9/1/12 for vacation the following week, and bought 2 of these cards at the same time... on sale for $20 each, class 10, 16GB capacity... great deal, right? At the end of my first day shooting >200 photos, I got an error message "No SD card inserted". I could not format the card or take any additional photos. Swapped for another card, all was fine, until the same thing happened on day 2, after taking >800 photos. Same error, plus "This memory card cannot be used. Card may be damaged. Insert another card." Again, unable to format the card or take additional photos. Figured the camera was defective, and fortunately was able to exchange the camera while on vacation. However, I've tried three different recovery systems and have been unable to retrieve any of the photos on either card. Wish I had read the other review before, it definitely looks like these cards are NOT compatible with Nikon D5100... or there is a bad batch of cards/cameras out there! Proceed with caution...I'll be posting this comment on the Nikon review page as well.

This is a great card for shooting video and stills on my Canon EOS Rebel T3i. I have no complaints.

Good value and quality for the right price. Wouldn't think of purchasing any where else.

Purchased as a package and is standard SD card that works as described.

When I bought my camera i bought TWO of these PNY SD cards. I used the first one with no problems till I got to about 300-400 pictures. I only used it for about a month and took pics including my baby shower my daughters birthday and my sons birth, the whole point of me getting this card was to document my kids and my sons first years. This card failed me terribly! After getting to about 300 pics the card stopped working. My camera was telling me to format card with camera which i never did knowing that would delete my pics. This happened the day before my son was born, so desperately and stupidly I put the other card in and took another 300-400 pics within about 3 weeks that second card did the same as the first!! When I took it into Best Buy they told me they could send the cards in to TRY to be recovered but it would cost ME around $1000!!!! I am so disappointed in Best Buy by not standing by a product they sold and recommended to me and in the PNY products. I will NEVER buy a product made by them again. To have two of the same SD cards fail me on some with some of the most important days in my life is so disapointing. I did take them to another photo store who told me they would try to recover them for me for $45 each and no charge if they couldnt do it. Unfortunately they were unsuccessful :(

No issues even with full HD video recording. I can recommend this flash card.

Ok guys, so I purchased this card for 50% off and with the specs I thought I was getting an amazing deal. Unfortunately immediately upon putting the card into my Nikon D5100 there was the following error "This memory card cannot be used. Card may be damaged. Insert another card." Hoping it was a fluke, I took the card out and put it back in and Viola, it worked! I formatted the card and began shooting a few pics. Little did I know the happiness would be short lived. After turning back on my camera again (*sigh*) the same error occurred. I put the card back into the computer and retrieved the few photos I did take and took the card back for store credit. I would definitely NOT recommend this card for a fellow Nikon SLR user!

I had purchased this card to use with NEX-7. At first i was very pleased with the speed and results from my shots. I usually shoot about 100-150 shots per session and once finished i always dump onto computer. After about 5-6 sessions and give or take maybe 1000 photos the memory card started to get slow.. Im talking about 15-20 seconds to be able to review my shots. At first i believed it was my camera but after changing cards i realized it was my PNY card. I had not gotten the reformat message that im reading about on here but i feel like if i continued to use it i would see it pop up soon. I would just stay away from this card if i were you..

Used the card the first day we were in Yellowstone. Went to download photos at the end of the day and mid-way though the images the files became corrupt and we lost hundreds of images. Now all the card says is "This card format is unrecognizable, do you want to reformat the drive". Very frustrating. Have tried several applications to retrieve the files to no avail. I will not purchase this brand again nor this size. Using smaller cards, you're less likely to lose so much.

I bought the card to shoot my daughter's soccer games. After four or five games, my camera (Nikon D90) started doing strange things, but I didn't think much of it until I put the card into the reader on my PC to import the photos into LR4. A message came up that the card was not formatted. I put it back into the camera, hoping that it was just the card reader. Then I got an error message from the camera saying that no card was present. There are about 300 photos on the card that may be unrecoverable.

This memory card said it was working with our D5100 and my wife took over 300 pictures of my son's football game. When we went to upload the pictures the card said it was not formatted. We called Nikon and they said this memory card does not work with Nikon and there was no way to recover the pictures. Such a sad time, because he scored a TD in that game. Very disappointed.

I just recently got back from an overseas trip. I purchased this card a few days before departure. After a couple days into my trip and about 1000 shots, the card became unreadable and I couldn't reformat it. Luckily, I backed up most of those shots on an external hard-drive before it broke. After this incident, I don't think that I will be purchasing another PNY product. Stay away from this SD card!!! Lesson to be had from this is to back-up everything and be redundant when doing so.

We bought this card so we would have more memory for vacation pictures. It crashed and we were not able to recover any of the photos.

I purchased a new SD card with the purchase of a new camera for a once in a lifetime trip. Halfway through the trip the PNY SD card crashed and 400 pictures along with video were lost. Geek squad only offered to charge $250 - $1000 to retrieve pictures.

I bought this PNY memory card and picked it up yesterday, but it didn't work in my Nikon camera and in my HP notebook. The worst memory card that I've had bought in Bestbuy.

This product was Faulty upon opening the package. It was not recognized by my camera nor by my computer!!!!
