Drive crashed while copying a file 2GB+ size
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While copying a large file 2+GB onto the flash drive, the drive crashed after 4+ minutes. Other information on the drive is no longer available. This had happened to me twice during the last 1.5 months. I've exchanged the drive to Bestbuy once. This 2nd drive also exhibits the similar problem. This problem wiped out all existing data on the drive - bummer!

Avoid - Hubs Not Supported
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this device to use with my Surface Pro 2. Since the SP2 only has one USB port, I use a hub. The hub works perfectly for my 2TB external HDD, webcam, headset, and printer. What doesn't work? The PNY 128GB drive. I contact support and I was told that hubs were neither tested nor supported. Basically, I need to unplug every device I have to plug the PNY into my single USB port. This device should be avoided.

Firmware issue DO NOT BUY it will drive you crazy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Most reviews are buyers euphoria, please wait a couple months then review it. Mine worked fine out of the box, then after about 5 times using it the glitches started. I am asked to format the drive every time I plug it in. Go to the PNY website, there is a firmware update for just the 128gb drive. PNY customer service is terrible. They want me to send it back and pay postage ($5 for a drive they know is bad) BEFORE they send me a new one. REALLY, what about my confidential data on it? Never buying from them again. bought 3 and all failed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Last time it was deal of the day I bought 3 of these. The first one failed immediately. best buy let me exchange it in store and that one worked for almost two months. The other two I bought never worked at all. Wouldn't read or write anything from the day they came out of the package. Had to return them for store credit. Normally I do not write reviews because a item failed I know that happens from time to time but out of the 4 I actually ended with only 1 worked for a little while and the others failed immediately. That's just either a bad coincidence or in my opinion a bad product

Returning my 3rd
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought 2 of these, gave one to my girlfriend. Opened mine up, tried it on 5 different computers and couldn't get a single one to recognize it. Returned it the next day and got a replacement. 2 days later my girlfriends stopped working. It has now been about 2 weeks and my replacement has stopped working. Very disappointed. Will be returning for refund this time.

Junk - Don't Buy it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the PNY - Turbo Plus 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive today. Plugged it into my Maverick MacBook Pro. It recognized it and I copied 7gb of data. Ejected it. Plugged it in to my Yosemite MacBook Pro, it did not recognize it. Plugged it back into my Maverick MacBook Pro, it no longer recognized it either. No sure I can return it for a refund because it contains proprietary information. Junk. Don't waste your money. Do other searches on PNY USB drives and you'll find a lot of talk of them failing. Wish I'd have done that before buying.

Neither of mine have *ever* worked
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They arrived just before I left on vacation; my cleaning person threw out the receipt & packaging. When I returned, I learned that neither would mount on my computer; they were invisible. One of the 2 was visible to my formatting software; but when I tried to format it, to see if that would fix the problem, it instantly was "unable to write to last sector" and went no further. The Apple Genius Bar had identical (non-)results. I can't return them; I can only not trust PNY anymore.

Just get an external ssd
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe I got a lemon, but a flashdrive dying in a single day with no drops/physical damage is just a little too unreliable. Wasn't happy to have to drive back to return this piece of junk, most likely component failure

SLOW SLOW SLOW Poor too high a rating
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Slowest thumb drive ever bought; low price but not worth it at one fourth the price; takes HOURS to transfer 20 gig - terrible; problem seems the actual storing; xfer quick - stops for long period - xfer quick - stops for long period on and on; whatever it is doing during the long periods counts against the transfer time; I will never buy another PNY product; can't trust 'em.

Stopped working within 30 days return is a pain
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Called PNY after my flash drive stopped working after 2 weeks, they wanted me to pay shipping to them to inspect it and then they would get back to me within 30 days on a replacement. I will try to return at the store. Not happy with their return policy. On any product this new they should stand behind it and send me a replacement no questions asked.

Junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got some of these for work, they are super slow. Came formatted in Fat32 so you couldn't copy files bigger then 4GB over. Buy literally any other flash drive it will be better. Formatting to NTFS/Exfat did allow us to copy, however the speed was awful.

2 bad flash drives in a row??
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first time with PNY. I use a Win7 64bit Professional system at work and 2 OSX Macs at home. Two different 128GB drives were not recognized on either Mac, normally they just appear on the desktop. Both of these flash drives appeared on Win7 but when you double click on the drive "please insert disc" would appear??? When I returned the flash drive to Best Buy they weren't even recognized on their test PC.

Not Seen by my Dell Laptop USB 3.0 Port
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure if this is a problem with my laptop (Dell Precision Windows 7) USB 3.0 port. Drive is seen by the USB 2.0 port on the same laptop. Because there are other glowing reviews, the drive may not be the problem. Just my laptop? I cannot recommend since I can only see it as a USB 2.0 drive. USB 2.0 sees the full capacity of the drive. USB 3.0 does not even see it, thus losing the speed benefit of USB 3.0.

Grossly inferior product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is currently on sale at Best Buy. Don't buy it. Transfer speeds are ridiculously slow. Read speeds are super slow...videos freeze constantly. I put the same video files on a Lexar drive in adjacent 3.0 USB and the Lexar ran great. The two PNY drives I bought are similarly bad so the flaws are inherent in the product.

Speed Varies from 26pmbs to 5pmbs Unreliable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The speed on this goes up and down while it transfers. It took an hour to transfer 6gb onto this from a usb 3.0 port. I tried 3 different usb 3.0 ports on 2 different windows 10 intel i7 computers and the speed kept fluxuating and the transfers were so slow I wonder if t hose higher speeds were accurate because it took FOREVER to transfer even 1 gb.

Not Working - Poor Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This drive failed in 2 months - several times lost my data - now its completely undetectable - despite 1 year warranty PNY not replacing it - its very difficult to reach their customer care - overall this is just like losing your money

Not a good USB drive for me at all
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchase the 128gb flash drive and it is even worst than a USB 2.0 flash drive. It takes over 10 min to transfers a 1gb file from my samsung laptop usb3.0 port to the flash drive. It is surprising people said it is good. If so, then I must have the very bad luck for the day I purchase. Lol

Very poor quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as a way to move files from my old MacBook Pro to a new MacBook Pro. In less than a day of use, this thing has failed completely. The drive will not read on any machine, Windows or Apple, thus I will be returning. I'd advise to look at other options.
