Don't know how fast is fast, my first time using USB 3.0, but installed windows 8.1 on my new ssd in about 15 min. So far so good. I would definitely buy a second one when it goes on sale again

This is more than enough storage for the average person! Like that there isn't a cover, instead the "cap" slides in and out, thus you can't lose it!
