Worked out of the box with no issues from the memory. Had to reclock the motherboard a bit to match the memory but it wasnt difficult. Otherwise, i received errors that services werent starting and dlls werent loading. After a reclock, no errors.great memory for ugrading to windows 8.1 64 bit.

Picked up four 2GB DIMM2 sticks. Glad I did. Built a Windows 7 OS CPU box, runs just fine - even though we removed the Video Card (too unstable).

Pny always makes great memory. I have bought this brand for years and have never had a failure

It does take some studying and practice but it is worth the effort to get such great pictures.

We purchased an additional 2 gig of memory for my son's computer. He was having issues playing certain video games. The additional memory helped speed up his system. Great purchase, as I don't have to hear my son complain about his slow computer anymore. Well worth the money.

I made the mistake buying this and found out it's not for gaming. This is buffered RAM for servers and workstations. Get "unbuffered" for PC gaming. " buffered/registered ram has a control chip built into the ram chip help the memory controller deal with large quantities of ram. you want to avoid buffered ram for a gaming computer (the extra controller chip adds latency). as stated it is for servers and workstations "

RAM for older PCs is getting harder and harder to find which can be a pain when assisting older family members that need some upgrades but don't want to purchase a new PC. After a quick look online and purchasing for instore pickup I was able to update an oldsters PC easy peasy.

I purchased this desktop for business purposes. It's a great computer for the money!

Was easy to install. It's like plug and play, remove the old memory and plug in the new, computer will automatically recognize the new memory. This was an upgrade to an older computer and Geek squad was very helpful identifying the type of memory needed for my computer.
