Easy Install if you are familiar with installing.

Gaming requires quick responses and additional memory will help. Could not tell if it was 100% compatible until I tried it. You can spend a lot of time looking things up and still not be sure you have the right answer. Could not reach anyone at Best Buy to get an answer.

DDR4 Laptop memory added to new laptop purchase

Found HP-Envy laptop with I7, SSD/optane but only 8GB of Ram. Tech pulled this off the shelf, verified it matched the installed Ram and installed it before setting up the computer. Works without any conflicts! Good Geek Squad member!

Fixed inoperable laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My daughter's Dell Inspiron 13" 2-in-1 notebook model 7375 became inoperable when she recently had to start using Adobe Creative Cloud for college. While it would start, it had a black screen of death and I could not get into the diagnostics. (Of course, it is just out of warranty too.) Fortunately, Dell has implemented a blinking LED light on the front of the notebook by the trackpad for such problems. Two amber blinks followed by four white blinks equals "Memory or RAM failure". While this Dell model is in no way geared toward professional graphic artists, Adobe Creative Cloud literally fried the existing 8GB of RAM. Nine philips screws and two 8GB PNYs later, the laptop starts right up and we're back in business. Hopefully doubling the memory will prevent such a meltdown in the future.
