Essential for gaming on a pc

You can load computer games to it, and you'll have a reasonable experience. After Samsung screwed me with their SD card, that stopped taking new files after 2 months, I decided to try PNY, and it is high-quality.

Surging data writing

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.What I've noticed about PNY thumb drives is that they will surge when writing large amounts of data. They peak at top speed for a couple of seconds and then virtually drop to hardly any data transferring for a longer period then when it is peaking. I dont know if it's because of the larger capacity storage or if there is no heat sink to keep them cool. Either way, the high capacity storage drives seem to give the biggest issue. If you keep your files small it's not an issue, but then what's the purpose of having a high capacity thumb drive that wont write at its max speed for the whole time that you are trying to write a file that is several gigs in size. I've had a 32 GB versatile thumb drive that went from USB A to USB C and I have the surging and now I'm experiencing that with this one. I thought it would be like having a smaller external SSD, but by far no comparison at all to my external SSD.

Easy to use

It did not need to be formatted or some complicated process. It was just plug and play and video and image access was a breeze.

Storage space

But just remember that people that don't know you don't get the full amount of storage space that is advertised. You get around 480 gb I think?

Of course I had an adapter to plug my flash drive in with the other end with USB-C but it worked great
