Movie is terrible, wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't on sale, and my younger sibling wanted it. Movie is terrible acting.

Detective Pikachu is a delightful and charming film that brings the beloved Pokémon world to life in a whole new way. With its heartwarming story, stunning visual effects, and Ryan Reynolds' hilarious and endearing performance as the voice of Pikachu, the movie captures the magic and nostalgia of the Pokémon franchise. The Movie: (4.5 stars)Entertaining movie, even for those new to Pokemon. Justice Smith and Ryan Reynolds make a good pair, with Kathryn Newton giving a good performance. A good mystery movie even if you figure out how it ends. The 4k UHD Disc set: (3.5 stars) With the exception of the night scenes, not the best movie for 4k UHD in my opinion. Transfer looked good on my TV however, so worth the extra $5 for me. Extra Features were about average. Detective Mode would help those new to Pokemon. The audio commentary is about average as far those go. An assortment of behind the scenes featurettes, a music video for the end credits song, a short mockumentary with Ryan Reynolds that you may have seen online, and an alternate opening scene round out the extras. For those who buy the physical copy, it includes a Special Detective Pikachu card for the Pokemon Trading Card Game. All in all, about about average for a 4k UHD/Blu-ray set these days, so nothing bad.

Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu, what more do you need? He brings his witty banter to a beloved character and makes this movie one of the most hilarious yet entertaining movies I have seen in quite some time. It took a staple past time animation and modernized it while keeping it entertaining. Bravo.

This movie captures the spirit of the Pokemon universe in a great way while also managing to tell an intriguing story as well. Highly recommended!

Another great Ryan Reynolds movie, also love the addition of new Pokemon.

It was a good movie. It was in good condition and all wraped up.

The discs work well, as did the digital code. The kids like the movie. There was a bit of a hiccup with the delivery, but Best Buy customer service was very helpful and got it straightened out for me with no fuss.

Fun movie. Actually pretty surprising how good it was. Worth a watch.

Ryan Reynolds was out of sight but very much on screen with his wise cracks and zaniness. The story is everything if you love Pikachu but it has some twist and turns. My nieces loved it so much that I had to buy the film for them.
