My childhood dream come true I've been watching since to the show came to states and the live action is a good way to show off the series

Loved this movie in theaters and i think its great that i can enjoy it from the comfort of my home. Pikachu's voice and actions are in synch and the other characters are ones you can get attached to.

The steelbook itself looks a lot better in person. The way the light shines on the steelbook and causes the colors to pop is really nice.

Awesome movie! So glad this was my first blueray and 4k movie I bought! It came with an exclusive card that was awesome looking as well!!

You can probably count the amount of game to film adaptations on one hand. Fewer still are those that you could consider to be "good" game to film adaptations. Detective Pikachu it turns out is a pretty enjoyable watch. It has it's tropes sure. But it has tons of heart. Ryan Reynolds plays an excellent Pikachu (who would have thought). It's incredible that they are able to make Pikachu and trainer Tim Goodman feel like they have real chemistry. I remember seeing the promotional materials and finding it odd that Jigglypuff somehow had fur. There is that bit of a disconnect if you have played the games. However, those observations kind of fade into the background because of the world building. They were able to make this feel like a real lived in city where people and pokemon interact with one another. And then there is the fanservice. If your a fan there is a lot to love here. Even if you aren't a fan of Pokemon? This is a great film that the entire family can enjoy. Put on your detective hat and join Pikachu and Tim as this pokemon journey unfolds.

Kudos that this film was treated well and with respect to bringing these pokemon characters to life. A great film for everyone and fans.

Detective Pikachu is a funny movie with lots of action, lots of laughs, and has a great story! The HD quality makes it that much better!

A great mixture of nostalgia and new age to bring together parents who grew up with the original and new portions to include their kids

I got this to add to my 3D collection but also I got it for my grandson the paceman , gave them the DVD out of the set and he loves it.

I liked this movie, but they really did the steelbook justice with the shiny glossy coat. You also get a cute little reading card inside

It's got great humor and a storyline everyone can follow. The pokemon designs are really well made even though they may seem weird

Bought for my daughter she loved it when we went to see it in theaters and she will love it to own for Christmas stocking stuffer.

Wonderful movie. Had some good nostalgia points to it. Good acting good cgi. Pretty good story line. Very happy with how it turned out

My kid who is 6 and 5 enjoyed the movie. They are both into Pokémon. If your child is into Pokémon too they will like this movie.

Got this on a super deal in black friday for my nephew. I know he’s going to love it because I enjoyed watching it in theaters. ^^

I am 70 yrs old and sleep some during movies but not this one it keeps your interest as to what you expect next. Great for children.

Awesome movie! I loved it and so did the kids. Enjoyed watching it the second time at home as much as the first time in the theaters.

This may not be an oscar-worthy film but if you have kids detective Pikachu would be an excellent stocking stuffer this Christmas!

My husband and I really enjoyed this movie in theatres so when it came to DVD we decided to grab it. Saw the steelbook and loved it.
