    Cool Retro Vibes

It looks just like the old polaroid cameras but modernizes. The package comes with the camera, neck strap, micro USB charging cable, and start guide. No film cartridges included. You will need to purchase separately. Luckily, I had two cartridges with me. The set up was very simple took less than 1 minute to put everything together. The camera is sturdy and well build. It has autofocus but I was disappointed with the quality of the picture. It was not very high quality, and almost had a "hipster" vibe to the pictures either way very retro looking. The camera is okay, I would not use it for serious pictures where careful detail is required like portraits. I would use it for hiking or just casual stuff. The polaroids are nice.

The quality is not good, instax is way better. I purchase this with a new Polaroid camera for my son and the picture quality is not very good. All of them are blurry or with a white wash. I’m film maker and have used all sorts of cameras so i know my way around exposure and this camera and film suck.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas and it was a disappointment. She took two photos and the flash didn’t work either time. The pictures came out black with some white blobs. She returned it right away but they wouldn’t take back the film. The film is expensive so she didn’t even want to risk exchanging it for another one.

It's so slick we had to return it. I couldn't hold it at all. Every time I tried to pick it up it'd slide right out of my hands. The guy at Best Buy said that was the third time he's had that complaint in a return, so imagine how many others had that same reason for return.

Bought this for my wife and took one picture with it. Then put it on the shelf awaiting a holiday for her to use it. Then, when the holiday rolled around, it didn't work, even when charged again. I read all of the instructions carefully and bought more film to no avail.

Simplicity is what makes Polaroid Now a fun product to use. There's no settings, no extra features, it's very simple and easy to use. I enjoyed using the Polaroid Now with my family. There is something satisfying about having a physical photo in my hands, especially with my significant other, parents, siblings. It feels special and I think that's what polaroid is all about. Capturing the special moment. The Polaroid App has a "scanner" that lets you quickly upload your polaroid to instagram or just save it for yourself in your phone's photos. So I still get to share my unique polaroids with everyone online (or just keep it to myself).

I really wanted to be impressed with this camera simply because of the brand name Polaroid and the history behind it. I thought just from its name alone that it must be excellent. And I have been trying to find what makes it so great, but so far I just can't. I have yet to get a good photo outdoors so far, with and without flash. They all come out very washed out or the top half of the photo is just white. Inside I get at least a full photo, Polaroid is very accurate when they say use flash inside for best results. I had high hopes for the double exposure function but I do not see much difference when comparing to the same photo that just used flash, just somewhat brighter highlights. Another thing to be aware of is how fast the photo launches out of the camera, you have to really be ready for it or it will be on the ground. I do however like the timer function, I think that would be useful for the demographic that would be interested in this camera. Overall I am not really impressed with the camera, I own / have used Polaroid cameras from another big brand and I am way more impressed with those compared to this one from Polaroid. The two different models I have used from other brands seemed to take better photos and had a much better design, the shape and the design of this camera makes it harder to pack for a day trip or longer trip.

This camera takes me back to a more simple time. The easy way to put it is, this is just fun! Plug it in to charge, insert the film cartridge, and start snapping! This camera has auto focus and an extremely bright flash! Once the photo is taken, it spits out the picture! Simple as that. It takes several minutes to develop, and when it does, the photo has an old time rustic look. My only complaint about the camera is that the film isn't cheap. Other than that, its a neat camera that is sure to get lots of comments when people see the pictures.

    Classic Polaroid

Polaroid has redesigned their instant camera and I think they created a classic that will last for a while. The build quality is classic Polaroid. I did find this new design to be more sleek and modern. It is light and easy to handle. It's not as angular as previous designs, so it feels softer when handling. There are 4 physical inputs: the power button, flash button, shutter button, and timer button. There is a small LCD that shows how many pictures you have left in the pack. Charging is straight forward. The battery indicator flashes green for charged, yellow when you're running out, and red when it's dead. This camera has a new autofocus lens system which switches between the distance and portrait lenses automatically and gives more precise pictures. It really shows. I found the pictures to be much higher in quality than the previous generations. They are still what you would expect from Polaroids. Under low light conditions, the camera performs very poorly, even with flash on. Basically, you better make sure there's alot of light when you're taking a picture. One thing that I've learned is that there is no reason to shake the photo when it comes out. In fact, they recommend not shaking these. In addition, keeping the pictures in a dark place or keeping the face down will help them develop better. They have improved over the previous generation. However, a Polaroid isn't for 4K and high quality photos. It's for the fun and memories it can capture instantly. My only qualms is about the film which is very expensive. All in all, this is a new Polaroid classic.

    Simply nostalgia in a snapshot

I remember the good old' days of Polaroid land cameras and how they could instantly produce film for whatever you snapped on the spot. I grew up in the '90s with my uncle owning various land camera models from decades past and would purchase 600 film from time to time to use for capturing memories. I still clearly remember how expensive 600 film was in those times, and I'm not surprised at today's prices either. I also remember Polaroid as a company discontinuing the production of 600 films back in the late 2000s, with third-party manufacturers seeking the opportunity to continue making them for the millions of Americans that still own an instant film camera, most likely somewhere up in their attic/cellar. But now it seems that instant film cameras still have quite some popularity amongst photographers of all spectrums, amateur and professional, and among those who would still prefer to take a picture of something and immediately have a physical recollection of it instead of saving it on the cloud or posting it on social media. In fact, having photos on 600/i-Type film in 2020 screams "vintage", "retro", and "nostalgia" amongst millennials and older crowds. I wonder how much of an effect it's having on our younger generations, besides the cool factor. So enough storytime about instant film cameras, let's get down to what you get in the box. Well, it's simply just the camera itself and documentation on how to use one if you've really, really never operated one before, along with a charging cable... yes, a charging cable. I'm saying this because it works exactly like many land cameras I've gotten to use in times past, but what's important to note here is, unlike most if not all instant film cameras before it, you actually need to charge this camera from time to time. The reason I find this appaling is because vintage instant film cameras NEVER required charging of any sort at all - the 600 film cartridges actually provided the power necessary to operate the entire camera, with enough juice to ensure it uses all of the films in its respective cartridge. What makes these newer cameras with their "i-Type" film different in the sense that you need to charge them up from time to time? Let's also not forget that i-Type film is not cheap at all, and you will be spending a pretty penny for cartridges that only hold 8 copies of blank film. Especially considering that these types of cameras are not anywhere near as common as they used to be, don't expect prices of 600 or i-Type film to go down anytime soon. If ever. There's not much else to cover about this camera. The picture quality isn't anything to cry home about, and you'll definitely want to ensure you only use these cameras when filming outdoors, or indoors using the flash at all times. Otherwise, you won't have proper lighting of the shot you took. For example, let's say you're taking a picture outside of your patio or balcony facing outward, but you're taking the shot from indoors. Unfortunately, the light exposure to the camera is not direct and is incomplete. Once your photo is done developing within 15 minutes, you'll notice it to be a lot darker than what you see with your very own eyes. It is important to make sure that when taking photos outdoors, your camera is also getting that same amount of light exposed to it. In closing, I see this gadget as more of a collectible that, after a few uses and events, will end up becoming another decor in your home somewhere. Until you remember that you own one of these cameras and want to use it again on occasion. That's if you remember first, of course. Let's be real - this, or the camera that's already in your pocket?

Hi there, we're sorry to hear about your issues! Were you taking photos indoors? For best results when taking indoors photos, it's recommended to always use the flash and to stand between 3-5 feet from your subject so the flash can reach. If you also have a large empty space behind the subject like an empty room, the background may be dark. Please contact our customer service team at usa (at) polaroid (dot) com and we can help.

If you’ve ever used a Polaroid camera before you’ll feel right at home. If you’ve never used a Polaroid camera because you always take pictures from your phone, this will be a different experience. I really liked the USB charging functionality and the overall ease of use. I had a hard time getting it to take a decent picture, though. Perhaps I’m spoiled by all the complex technologies of today but it was either too dark/blurry or too exposed/bright. It kind of reminds me of an Instagram filter you can’t turn off. Overall I would say it’s worth a try if you want the nostalgia of a Polaroid with some modern updates.
