    Brings Back Memories!

I was pretty excited getting the second generation of Polaroid Instant Film camera bundle. My daughter owns the first generation and I am glad the Polaroid decided to make a few upgrades and bring this product to the market. First of all, when you hold this Polaroid Instant Film camera, it brings a lot of memories. I remember when these were very popular however and everyone was snapping quick photos with it and when the picture came out, they would shake it and cannot wait for it to develop fully. Nowadays, no more shaking needed! The manufacturer even mentions it in directions not to shake or wave the picture around and let it develop within 10 to 15 mins in a low lit environment for the best results. I like the built-in flash that automatically fires on for every picture, and I would also suggest those buying this camera to make sure to take your pictures outside or inside with LOTS of light. The camera is not heavy and it is very easy to hold and operate. The shutter button is on the front as well as the Self-timer button that has a delay for about 9 seconds. I learned that as long as you hold your camera steady, hit the Shutter button and have lots of good lighting or sun, your picture will be great. However, it may take a few shots at first I am sure for your to learn the best way to take your Polaroid pictures. Do yourself a favor, and download the full manual for this Polaroid, where you will learn a number of ways to take great pictures. I know my daughter probably won't do that, that is why I took time and read through the manual to give her some advice. I think the Pro for this camera are as follows: - Good price and value - Includes a double pack of film - Easy to use - Offers double exposure capability - Compatible with i-Type and 600 film Cons would be: - Extra film will cost you extra - Auto focus could be a bit better

The quality is kind of trash compared to the original Polaroids from back in the day. It’s like they’re made cheaply. The colors don’t develop right. They’re washed out but not in a vintage way… Overall, I’m just kind of disappointed considering it cost so much

Hi Claudia, Sorry to hear about your issues. The new Polaroid film is made from all new chemicals and materials from the Polaroid film from back in the day, but you should still be able to get great results. If the photos are washed out, it could be that the film packs you had were affected by temperature or x-ray (if you traveled via plane for example). Please contact Polaroid support at usa [at] polaroid [dot] com with sample images and we can help.

Summary ------- A good camera to take instant prints and there is no competition. It is just one of a kind. The cartridge contains about 8 photos. A nice gadget to have when you want to print. Pros ---- 1. One of a kind camera which can print. 2. Simple to use 3. Nice clear pictures' 4. Looks sturdy Cons ---- 1. Print cartridge is smaller in size - 8 pics Details -------- Setup is simple, fully charge the camera before use. Once it is fully charged, inserts the print cartridge and you are set. it will show the counter. The camera has the capability to allow users to either force a flash Or completely turn it off. The pictures' with the flash come out good in low light conditions. I like the simplicity of the devoce, The camera also has a self timer for taking group pictures. Good to place it on a flat surface to make sure the pictures come out OK. Double exposure - good for low light conditions when you want to improve the exposure on the pictures. I think overall for the price, this is a good Christmas gift especially if you have a teenager.

Hi Mike, We're sorry to hear about your issues. If photos are green it could be due to cold temperature exposure when the photos were taken. Please contact our customer service team at usa [at] polaroid [dot] com with sample images and we can help figure this out with you.

    A blast from the past

This camera is not your 1970’s instant camera. Instead of taking 2-3 minutes to develop it takes 10 to 15 minutes. Of course, it’s a color print not the black and white of yesteryears. There is something to say about the new features available. The self-timer after being set gives you 9 seconds to get into the frame. Double exposure allows you to take 2 different exposures on the same film. Double exposure is not hard to set-up and takes some time to master. You can utilize the flash and self-timer both with each photo. The flash control allows you to turn the flash off for a picture, it will default back to on when the camera is turned off. Auto-focus is a time saving advancement, you just must ensure it is focused where you want it. This camera uses Polaroid i-Type film or Polaroid 600 film. The camera has a built-in battery that must be charged before use. The literature states that the battery will last about 2 packages of film. The i-Type film does not have a power source in the package. In this package I received 2 packages of 8 color film. The handheld strap can be added to either side of the camera. The prints are not the sharp color digital prints you get from current cameras, but they have come a long way from the 1970’s. Any subject further than 5 feet is unrecognizable.

Hi Justin, the Polaroid Now camera is an entirely analog camera. It does not have any digital sensor to capture digital images. However, when a photo has finished developing, you can use the free Polaroid app to scan your Polaroid photo to make a digital copy on your phone.

We followed all directions, yet every pic came out either blurry or without proper color saturation. My old Polaroid cameras from the ‘80s were fantastic, even the one I got in 2000 was pretty good. Unfortunately, this one stinks and was shockingly pricey for what you receive.

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear about your issues! With the Now camera, if flash is used, the camera's light meter will always meter for the flash on the camera only. Additional ambient lighting in the room won't help much. If you contact our customer service team at usa [at] polaroid [dot] com we can help. Please include some sample images showing your results.

Had to return it. No matter what lighting we were in, the pictures came out dark and blurry. The film wasn’t expired and we tried in daylight, direct light, low light, and nothing worked. Unfortunate given the reputation of the brand and the cost.
