Lot of work for below average pics, if you are shooting loose, this lens is super unforgiving and even if you do everything right, pics still don't even come close to the polaroids of the past. not worth the 200+ price for camera and extra film

THE BREAKDOWN: This camera brings back memories! If you are looking to capture a moment this camera will do the trick! Included is the camera, two packs of i-Type film (8 in each pack), wrist strap, USB-C charging cable and a quick start guide. I first put the camera on to charge for about an hour. It does have a rechargeable battery unlike the older versions. When it is fully charged the light turns green and then goes off. When the batter is depleted the light turs red. To operate this camera fairly simple. There is an On and Off button and a button to open the film door to put in your film. You look through the eye piece and press the shutter button the flash goes off and your picture will eject. One thing about this camera is it has a timer so you can set it and run and get in the picture! Just remember not to shake the film, place it face down in a dark room and wait at least 10-15 minutes. There is a simplistic nostalgia with this camera that makes it fun to use. PRO’s: - Super Easy to use - Rechargeable battery - Double exposure - Self timer CON’s: - Learning curve to take good pictures - Expensive film SUMMARY: Overall, this product worked as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they were in the market for product like this.

Hi Tiffg816, I'm sorry to hear that! If photos are too dark, it may be that you are standing too far away for the flash to reach your subject, or the flash may have been turned off for indoor photos. Please contact our customer service team at usa [at] polaroid [dot] com and we can help.

Hi Amy, the Now camera does come with a USB charging port. If you'd like Bluetooth capability, you'd need the Polaroid Now+. The Polaroid Now does not have Bluetooth connectivity but the Polaroid Now+ camera does.

Fun Camera With The Classic Film Look And Feel

Polaroid has brought back the classic look of the last 70's/early 80's instant photos with the Polaroid Now Gen 2 i-Type camera. From the look of the camera, to photos, to the sound of the camera, you'll be taken back to the days of the original. This camera is fun and easy to use. The view finder is clear and I was able to use it while wearing my glasses. The buttons are easy to find. There is a power button, self-timer button, flash button, and a shutter button. I found the placement of the buttons to be good and it's easy to find the shutter button by feel. The charge port is a USB-C port for charging the camera. It charges in a reasonable amount of time and the battery, according to Polaroid, will last for 15 packs of film. I used two packs and still had battery power left. It also has a counter so you know how many photos you have left. The counter LCD is easy to read day or night. Autofocus worked well for the photos that I took. The camera supports i-Type film and 600 film. Whether you want color or BW film, you won't have a problem finding what you need. The film is simple and easy to load, so you won't have any problems there. I did notice some over exposer when taking photos in bright sunlight at the beach, but other than that, I'm impressed with the overall result. If you are looking for a fun camera with the classic instant photo look, then check out Polaroid's Now i-Type Instant Camera. I think you'll be as happy with it as I am.

A solid camera in good lighting

I’m old enough to have grown up with Polaroid cameras, but also so heavy into tech that I’ve forgotten what it was like to use one. After a decent amount of use with this one, I’m pleasantly surprised how great it works. I figured using this camera might be easy, but just how easy was the question. To test it. I had my 3 year old son take a picture. While I didn’t have him load the camera (which, in itself was easy), he took pictures with problem. Generally, the image quality in the pictures we took were great with one exception. I’ve grown accustom to just snapping flicks anywhere with all the software and hardware features on smart phones. However, taking pictures in darker spaces produced mixed results. Even with the flash on the center of the image would be visible, but not fully. Overall, my experience with the Polaroid Now Instant film camera was good. A great trip down memory lane. I forgot how long it takes for the pictures to develop (explaining that to a 3 year old took a bit) It wasn’t without its flaws, but it’s still a great camera for taking photos of well lit events.

Hi Rocio, I'm sorry to hear about your issues! If photos are too dark it may mean that the camera was held too far away for the flash to reach what you were photographing. The flash range on the camera is 5-6 feet. Please contact our customer service team at usa [at] polaroid [dot] com and we can help.

    Great Gift for Granddaughter

I got this polaroid camera as a gift for my granddaughter and she loves it! The camera comes with 16 color print film which she quickly used. The camera itself is easy for her to use and very durable. She is learning how to use all the features which include a self-timer that she take photos of her and her friends together. This generation of kids rarely get to see printed photos since most all are digital and on some sort of device. My granddaughter loves that she can hang this photo's in her room and share them with her friends and family. The camera itself is black and white in color and requires pushing 1 button to take the photo. The camera has autofocus on each picture taken which helps get a clear quality photo. This Polaroid Now Generation 2 camera has been a huge hit with my granddaughter and I love that I can treat her to extra packs of film for her to continue to take photo's throughout the year. I highly recommend this for a gift or even to have around the house if you need to get a quick printed photo.

      Hi Shelly,

I'm sorry to hear that. The flash on the camera has a range of about 5-6 feet, so even if there are other lights on in a room, if you take photos indoors, the flash can only reach about 5-6 feet. If you stand any further than that from what you are photographing, the results may be dark. The camera's light meter registers for the flash and not other ambient lighting. Please contact Polaroid support at usa [at] polaroid [dot] com and we can help.

    Nostalgia in a box

I'm not a huge analog guy. I was born in the early 80's and have always been a bit of a nerd so when camera technology got to the digital age, I was all in. Haven't looked back at a film camera in probably 2 decades. Would I want to use this Polaroid to capture the most important moments while my children grow up? Definitely not. But the casual pictures I did take of them would go great in a scrap book or any other more stylized collection and I can appreciate that. Setup was easy enough. The instructions are fairly clear about how to install the film so it's hard to screw it up. After that, it's just point (by looking through a view finder!) and shoot. You might need to charge the camera up before using it. Mine had enough battery to use right away, though. The biggest weirdness for me was actually taking the picture by looking through a physical hole in the camera again and then the shutter button being on the front of the camera. Just felt weird. Took me a minute to feel comfortable with my finger in the right spot to take a picture. Other than that, it was a fun experience for me. It tickles that nostalgia spot in my brain. The picture came out, and after reading through the quick start guide, I opted to listen to their big bold instructions which were "DO NOT SHAKE THE PICTURE!". Placing the film face down on a flat surface was plenty and in 5 minutes or so, I had some really old looking pictures of my kids. I was most blown away by how little the technology has improved since I remember using these cameras. The pictures are not super great and I can't imagine anyone who didn't grow up with these cameras (or just find the novelty in old tech) really liking the result. To me, it was like seeing my small children but through an 80's lens. I liked the picture, but like I said, I would only use this to take casual images for a more artistic display somewhere. Consideration how old the pictures look, you could probably reproduce the effect with any digital pictures pretty easily by shrinking the resolution and using a bunch of filters. There's still something to having the thick polaroid film though. Overall, I can recommend this camera to anyone who grew up in a time when this was normal and just wants to take some new pictures that look really old. The image quality isn't great. The flash doesn't go very far. You can't delete the picture and try again if you don't like it. There's something nifty about all of that, but this definitely won't replace your phone or anything for capturing actual important events. Pure nostalgia and not much else here.
