Nit worth it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent camara but the film always developed poorly. There are no manual controls for focus or exposure and the auto functions didn’t perform well.

Auto focus and usb c charging on a polaroid? ReTr0
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off the fact these type of cameras still exist in todays age is nothing short of amazing. It’s like a blast from the past mixed with some sprinkles of today’s tech. To get one thing out of the way I feel like the “film” is on the expensive side all things considered but you also know exactly what your looking for or are going to get here so you can account for this and decide the same for your personal needs. Personally I think it’s awesome! I havent used a polaroid camera since the 90s, literally. Ive been around plenty with my good ol iPhone and more recently a few mirrorless cameras which ive come to love. Nothing really does “retro” these days like actual polaroid cameras. So it has “autofocus” if you call it that on here it basically auto selects the best focal range to use to make sure what your shooting is in focus and proper for the photo which takes a ton of guess work out that you had to do back in the day which is great. It has a switch for a timer mode up to 9 seconds so you can run into place with the scene you’re trying to capture which is something I wish I had in the 90s lol. There is a double exposure mode if you want to get crazy with the film and try to make some art or just strange photos. It’s compatible with I-type and 600 film in the original size which btw they say you can store in the fridge which I thought was weird but they know best so I won't argue lol. It has a lithium ion battery which you can charge with usb-c which is a blast from the present and excellent cause it lasts 15 packs of film worth of shooting. The camera of course has a flash though I would have to say it’s on the weaker side. It’s the perfect mix of mediocre pictures and literal throwback to a time where it didnt matter what your framing was it only mattered you captured memories. You know what you’re getting into as far as film goes just like the old days and this brings you right back but also into the future. If you know, you know.

Posted .Hi there, sorry to hear about your issues. The only reason photos will be blurry is if you are holding the camera too close or too far away from what you are photographing, or if you are taking photos indoors without flash. Please contact our customer service team at usa [at] polaroid [dot] com and we can give you some tips.

Another throwback hit
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After owning and gifting away the first generation model, I was excited for this new release. The general tech updates are modest in real life experience but the new add-ons such as the lens filters and app connectivity are a nice addition that makes it worth every penny. Set up/App: The setup to the app is fairly straightforward. I'd overall happy with the app experience and it was not glitchy on my Apple device. It adds on the ability to take multiple photos, set timer, modify aperture, etc. It has a nice and simple layout. Film: Film there's not much to say other than it's easy to load. Not terribly expensive but of course this is a novelty item and you are going to pay the price for it. Camera features: On the camera itself you are able to set a timer, double exposure, and modify the aperture. It has a very nice retro look to it (as it did previously). I am a big fan of the newly included lens filters. They are just fun to mess around with and adds a bit of novelty. Personally, they are only useful is very well-lit environments. They do decrease the quality of the picture and don't do so great on dark skin tones compared to light. They updated the auto focus which I believe has made the photos at least a little better quality. Prints: They are definitely better than the original. The updated flash is better at producing nicer prints but this diminishes greatly at distances greater than ~6-8 feet. The dimmer the lighting the poorer quality capture and print. Overall, I still think you need to set your expectations in a world of very high quality cameras, this is not for your professional headshot or wedding photo shoot. Overall: This is a great update. Priced as a novelty item, I do believe you are not necessarily getting what you paid for in results but in the novelty. I am not sure whether its worth upgrading from a previous model but I would highly recommend this over any leftover first gen models.

Childhood memories
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Polaroid Now instant film camera Generation 2. Brought back so many childhood memories I remember getting my first Polaroid camera for Christmas when I was 10, I loved the excitement of waiting a few minutes for my pictures to develop rather then waiting two weeks to get them back from the photo lab. I was excited to get the new generation Polaroid camera the freedom of taking pictures and them actually getting developed instead of taking a million pictures in my phone that I rarely print. The quality of the pictures are a lot sharper than they were thirty years ago. It has auto focus, self timer and double exposure. Film is I-type and 600 style. It does not come with any film it is only sold separately., the film is a little pricey but worth it.It is type c rechargeable lithium battery no need to worry about batteries., also has a wrist strap and it is lightweight. It's fun for taking simple pictures of coarse it doesn't replace a regular camera or phone camera it's great for instant print memories snap a photo and turn upside down wait for it to develop or like the old days shake it.

Don't buy this
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It takes really bad photos. I put this side by side with an Instax and it's either very blown out or very dark while the Instax was way more forgiving. It should be an easy point and shoot but it just is more trouble than it's worth. Buy an Instax

Posted .Hi there, The film itself can't cause dark or blurry photos. That can only be caused if photos are taken in low light without flash, or if the camera is held too close to what you are photographing, or if the camera is malfunctioning. Please contact Polaroid support at usa [at] polaroid [dot] com and we can help.

The Ultimate Polaroid!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THIS… Is Polaroids Gen 2 Instant Film camera, and it is everything you could ask and hope for… with a price. But the first question that popped into my mind was.. Gen 2? What is the upgrade? It was actually a reasonably substantial upgrade to the first generation, fixed the overexposure issue, color accuracy is on point, focal point is sharp with in tripod mode netting you a max distance to get a good photo ~6ft, as in you can get a clear pic of someones face about 6ft away. Color balancing in the medium to low lighting was actually superb. I really enjoyed taking photos in darker environments where I would have strayed away from on my first gen, out hiking or in the city… I really never worried about the outcome on the photo as the Gen 2 Polaroid always nailed it. Something that is super cool is that the Polaroid actually uses exposure timing… as in take the photo and wait while it soaks up all the glory of the image you just took. And it did it really quick too, not really ever taking more than 15/20 seconds on the high side. Some other things that just make sense on the Gen 2 Polaroid is that it has a rechargeable battery, something I have wanted on other ‘instant’ film cameras. I never have batteries! Nothing takes batteries, my PS5 doesn’t, my tv remote doesn't, it is nice that I don’t have to spend $8 on 12 batteries and then spend half of my day trying to find them again when the batteries run out. It also uses type C charging so +1 to Polaroid for spending the extra 7 cents to make my life easier. Something that also must be noted is how absolutely sick this camera looks in green, bestbuy sent me the white one but I have a friend that bought it in green and I am just actually stunned that they can make these look so cool now. So where does the fun run out? I mean truthfully, it really never does. The biggest thorn in my side is that there is A. No film in the box to test and B. The film is pricy and C. There is no sample pack!!! Do I want my film in black and white? Do I want it in color? Why is it so hard to find the white color frames? Thankfully, I was able to get all the film I needed from bestbuy in one swoop, but let me run over the numbers here… For 16 white framed photos, its $31.99 or lets just say $32 for math (and taxes).. Thats $2 a picture! But I have to say, once you start taking the photos, I spent a lot of $2 lol. So how does this end? Well, if you have any inkling to scrapbook, hang photos on the wall, save memories or create the perfect themed photo then you should look no further. Film is expensive, always has been and there are tons of options out there to manage this. That being said, this is the best Polaroid or Polaroid like camera I have touched. Battery life was so long I forgot it was even a thing, flash and camera balancing was PERFECT and its super easy to get all the things you need to resupply your camera on the go. As always, Bestbuy has an excellent return policy and even better customer service, so you never have to worry about buying a product that you don’t like… so why not test it out?!

Good camera
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Polaroid Now+ is a good instant camera that delivers on what it promises. The Polaroid Now+ instant camera is my first polaroid in probably about 20 years, if not more. So I haven't used one since before the days of smart phones and even digital cameras before that. So it's been a while since I've had to deal with the quirks of analogue photography. But I'll try to keep my criticisms of that to a minimum. So back to the camera, it is an instant camera that takes Polaroid's itype or original 600 style file. It features bluetooth connectivity, which allows you to connect to Polaroid's smartphone app, which opens up many more features. You can use your phone as a remote shutter, you can take double exposures, use a handful of shooting modes like tripod, aperture priority, or even full manual. The camera also features a rechargeable battery which charges via USB-C. Lastly, the camera comes with 5 different colored lens filters for further experimentation. In all, this camera is about as feature packed as you'll find an instant camera can be. I especially liked the smartphone connectivity, as it opened up a whole world of possibilities and ways to experiment with your photography. And setup was super simple, even for bluetooth. I simply opened the app, and within seconds the camera connected. There was no pairing, holding down buttons, waiting for flashes, or going into settings. Just turn on the camera, open the app, and poof, just like magic the two were connected. All this being said, I must at least mention the quirks of polaroid photography in general, for those who may not be aware. For one, the film is relatively expensive. It averages about $2 per picture. Two, you don't realize how accustomed you've become to modern digital photography until you try to use one of these to take a good picture. If you are inexperienced with analogue photography, it will definitely take some learning, and you will probably go through a lot of film. You have to think about lighting, composition, etc a lot more than with digital photography, and every time you snap that shutter button, it's another $2. It definitely makes you think more and be more careful and selective of your shots. It won't be for everyone. But if you are prepared for the challenge, or already have the experience needed, this is really a great camera.
