Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the Now+ Instant Film Camera Generation 2 for its ease of use, rechargeable battery, timer, and double exposure feature. The camera's retro design and USB-C charging are also appreciated. However, some customers find the camera to be a bit large for carrying around. While some appreciate the flash, others feel the camera quality is not as good as older Polaroid cameras.

First off the fact these type of cameras still exist in todays age is nothing short of amazing. It’s like a blast from the past mixed with some sprinkles of today’s tech. To get one thing out of the way I feel like the “film” is on the expensive side all things considered but you also know exactly what your looking for or are going to get here so you can account for this and decide the same for your personal needs. Personally I think it’s awesome! I havent used a polaroid camera since the 90s, literally. Ive been around plenty with my good ol iPhone and more recently a few mirrorless cameras which ive come to love. Nothing really does “retro” these days like actual polaroid cameras. So it has “autofocus” if you call it that on here it basically auto selects the best focal range to use to make sure what your shooting is in focus and proper for the photo which takes a ton of guess work out that you had to do back in the day which is great. It has a switch for a timer mode up to 9 seconds so you can run into place with the scene you’re trying to capture which is something I wish I had in the 90s lol. There is a double exposure mode if you want to get crazy with the film and try to make some art or just strange photos. It’s compatible with I-type and 600 film in the original size which btw they say you can store in the fridge which I thought was weird but they know best so I won't argue lol. It has a lithium ion battery which you can charge with usb-c which is a blast from the present and excellent cause it lasts 15 packs of film worth of shooting. The camera of course has a flash though I would have to say it’s on the weaker side. It’s the perfect mix of mediocre pictures and literal throwback to a time where it didnt matter what your framing was it only mattered you captured memories. You know what you’re getting into as far as film goes just like the old days and this brings you right back but also into the future. If you know, you know.

Even by following the directions, its tough to make a great photo. Then you have to wait 15 mins to see what it looks like. Spend $20 on 8 film and only 2 or 3 of them come out lookin okay.

The Polaroid Now+ Instant Film Camera is a delightful blend of nostalgia and modern technology. As a fan of instant photography, I was excited to get my hands on this camera, and it did not disappoint. The design is a perfect tribute to the classic Polaroid cameras of yesteryears, with its iconic rainbow stripe and a retro, yet contemporary feel. It's lightweight and compact, making it easy to carry around, and the build quality feels solid. The camera is available in a range of vibrant colors to suit your style. The star of the show is its instant film capability. The camera uses i-Type and 600 film, producing stunning photos with vivid colors and the signature Polaroid charm. The autofocus system works well, ensuring that your shots are sharp and clear. The double exposure mode and light painting options add creative flair to your photos. The Now+ offers several shooting modes, including portrait, standard, and manual mode. It's easy to switch between modes and adapt to different lighting conditions. The selfie mode is a great addition, with a mirror on the front for framing your self-portraits perfectly. The rechargeable battery is a welcome feature, eliminating the need for constant battery replacements. The camera charges via USB-C and provides a decent number of shots per charge. The camera's viewfinder, however, can be a bit small for some users and takes some getting used to, especially for precise framing. The price of film packs can add up, but that's expected for instant photography. In conclusion, the Polaroid Now+ Instant Film Camera is a fantastic blend of the past and present. It delivers the joy of instant photography with modern convenience and creative options. Whether you're a photography enthusiast or just looking for a fun way to capture moments, this camera is a worthy choice. It's not without its minor quirks, but the overall experience and the tangible, nostalgic joy it brings make it a worthwhile investment for capturing life's moments in an instant.

Polaroid Now instant film camera Generation 2. Brought back so many childhood memories I remember getting my first Polaroid camera for Christmas when I was 10, I loved the excitement of waiting a few minutes for my pictures to develop rather then waiting two weeks to get them back from the photo lab. I was excited to get the new generation Polaroid camera the freedom of taking pictures and them actually getting developed instead of taking a million pictures in my phone that I rarely print. The quality of the pictures are a lot sharper than they were thirty years ago. It has auto focus, self timer and double exposure. Film is I-type and 600 style. It does not come with any film it is only sold separately., the film is a little pricey but worth it.It is type c rechargeable lithium battery no need to worry about batteries., also has a wrist strap and it is lightweight. It's fun for taking simple pictures of coarse it doesn't replace a regular camera or phone camera it's great for instant print memories snap a photo and turn upside down wait for it to develop or like the old days shake it.

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that. Did you travel with the film via airplane? If so, did the film go through security x-rays? That could cause hazy results. Please contact our customer service team at usa [at] polaroid [dot] com and we can help.

THIS… Is Polaroids Gen 2 Instant Film camera, and it is everything you could ask and hope for… with a price. But the first question that popped into my mind was.. Gen 2? What is the upgrade? It was actually a reasonably substantial upgrade to the first generation, fixed the overexposure issue, color accuracy is on point, focal point is sharp with in tripod mode netting you a max distance to get a good photo ~6ft, as in you can get a clear pic of someones face about 6ft away. Color balancing in the medium to low lighting was actually superb. I really enjoyed taking photos in darker environments where I would have strayed away from on my first gen, out hiking or in the city… I really never worried about the outcome on the photo as the Gen 2 Polaroid always nailed it. Something that is super cool is that the Polaroid actually uses exposure timing… as in take the photo and wait while it soaks up all the glory of the image you just took. And it did it really quick too, not really ever taking more than 15/20 seconds on the high side. Some other things that just make sense on the Gen 2 Polaroid is that it has a rechargeable battery, something I have wanted on other ‘instant’ film cameras. I never have batteries! Nothing takes batteries, my PS5 doesn’t, my tv remote doesn't, it is nice that I don’t have to spend $8 on 12 batteries and then spend half of my day trying to find them again when the batteries run out. It also uses type C charging so +1 to Polaroid for spending the extra 7 cents to make my life easier. Something that also must be noted is how absolutely sick this camera looks in green, bestbuy sent me the white one but I have a friend that bought it in green and I am just actually stunned that they can make these look so cool now. So where does the fun run out? I mean truthfully, it really never does. The biggest thorn in my side is that there is A. No film in the box to test and B. The film is pricy and C. There is no sample pack!!! Do I want my film in black and white? Do I want it in color? Why is it so hard to find the white color frames? Thankfully, I was able to get all the film I needed from bestbuy in one swoop, but let me run over the numbers here… For 16 white framed photos, its $31.99 or lets just say $32 for math (and taxes).. Thats $2 a picture! But I have to say, once you start taking the photos, I spent a lot of $2 lol. So how does this end? Well, if you have any inkling to scrapbook, hang photos on the wall, save memories or create the perfect themed photo then you should look no further. Film is expensive, always has been and there are tons of options out there to manage this. That being said, this is the best Polaroid or Polaroid like camera I have touched. Battery life was so long I forgot it was even a thing, flash and camera balancing was PERFECT and its super easy to get all the things you need to resupply your camera on the go. As always, Bestbuy has an excellent return policy and even better customer service, so you never have to worry about buying a product that you don’t like… so why not test it out?!
