The hardware is nice. It was pretty light, feels well-built, and able to survive some wear and tear. I thought it was cool that it is made of 40% recycled materials. There are minimal controls on the device—enough to turn it on, take a photo, and connect to the polaroid app. I appreciated that a physical button for turning the flash on/off is included. It includes a lens cap, USB cable, wrist strap, 5 filters (more on that later), and a case for the filters. This kit does not include film but accepts both I-type and 600 film. They have added so many options of film types (color, black and white, different border designs) so it was fun to be able to customize my photo further. The camera is extremely easy to set up. Putting film in the camera is as simple as replacing a cartridge. I appreciate it charges via a modern standard like USB-C. Battery life is good at a claim of up to 15 packs depending on use. Connecting the camera to the app is super easy. I just downloaded the polaroid app and it walked me through everything. There’s a blue + that indicates whether the device is connected which is a nice feature too. The included app connectivity (via the polaroid app) is nice. It includes a number of controls: remote shutter, self timer, double exposure, aperture control, tripod mode, portrait mode, light painting, and a full manual mode (which you can control the aperture, shutter, flash, and focal length). I appreciate ability to put in my own settings and the creative modes the app offers. The app controls definitely get the job done but I think I’d like physical controls if I was using the manual settings for every shot. I thought image quality was pretty good. If you’re looking for the “polaroid look” this does a great job at capturing that. They have a very ethereal quality to them. It took some time (and film) for me to get the hang of shooting with it. Specifically it took some trial and error to figure out what I was seeing in the viewfinder versus what the lens was actually capturing. The flash adds an extra element of polaroid look. It works best at close range. It includes a bunch of cool filters which were fun to experiment with. My favorites were the red vignette and the starburst filters. I appreciated that there were two focal lengths and in auto mode it automatically switches between them to get the best shot. The only complaint I have is that there is no warning that the cap is on before you take a photo. I’ve lost a few images to that. Since the viewfinder is not through the lens there is no indication the cap is on. Maybe in a 3rd generation they can add an indicator light or some other way to warn if the cap is on. Overall this is an instant camera with a vintage look but a number of modern features.

I bought this camera as a gift for my gf and she absolutely loves it. She had one as a kid that she took everywhere and photographed everything, shes always talked about replacing it and starting a photo album but never got around to it. When I see it I just knew I had to get it for her. Works fantatstic for what it is, couldnt be happier!

Camera has gotten plenty of use at multiple parties and has always been a fun item to use. only real negative is the somewhat high-cost to keep extra Film ready to go
