    Lousy Camera Packaged In Nostalgia

I've owned this camera for several months, and I've yet to take one "good" photo with it. They are always over / under-exposed, streaky, spotty, and the color balance borders on atrocious. I followed all guidelines in the manual, consulted their website and watched countless videos. Rollers were kept clean, subject area flooded with light (with flash left on), film stored in the fridge, photos immediately shielded from light; but it all boils down to the fact this is simply a poorly made camera that takes equally poor photos. I get that they are going for 'vintage' here, but there's a big difference between 'vintage' and 'garbage.' The true Polaroid cameras and film that were made years ago were able to at least reliably take photos that at least looked somewhat decent, and had more realistic color balance. And there was never such a huge issue with spots and streaks as there is now. With the new "Polaroid Originals" it's literally a gamble every time you press the shutter release as to whether or not you will get a usable photograph. If it didn't cost literally about $2 every time you press the shutter (due to the film being ridiculously expensive) perhaps it would be more tolerable. The only reason to purchase this product is simply for a quirky nostalgic experience. Despite the multiple frustrations with this thing, it is admittedly a fun camera to use; pointing, shooting, and hearing the film come out is definitely a cool throwback experience. However, the fun quickly stops once you are left with a handful of lousy photos (that cost $2 each). Polaroid seems to embrace the "you never know what you're going to get" mentality with this thing - in a way, they are cleverly marketing the fact that their product has poor quality control and is competely unpredictable. It boils down to this. If you're simply looking for a nostalgic "hey look I've got a Polaroid camera" experience, and are willing to gamble a couple of bucks every time you take a picture, then go ahead and buy it. If you are interested in actually taking good quality analog instant photos, Fuji cameras are by the far superior choice.

We were excited to get this camera however it was disappointing. Couldn’t get it to work initially and first 2 photos were of nothing and the last one was blurry. Expected more since the film was so expensive. We had to return it because it did not work properly unsure if it was the product or the user nevertheless not worth it for us.

Camera didn’t work as it said it would. Basically the pictures came out completely white with no picture. I would go with a different Polaroid camera next time.
