It’s good when it works but since day one I’ve had issues with this surround sound with crackling and pops coming out of the speakers when watching movies it ruins anything you are watching I waited for software updates that were said to fix the problem that never did fix the problem if you look online u can see this surround sound is plagued by the same problem for a lot of people who purchased it. I’m currently looking for another surround sound to replace this one after only a year and some months of owning it.

Polk MagniFi Max SR soundbar is replacing my Samsung 2.1 soundbar with wireless subwoofer in bedroom (21ft x 17ft). Mounted the soundbar below the 65 inches television for having true surround sound with wireless rear speakers and subwoofer. Setup was pretty easy. Wall mounts are included with no screws in box and that was not a big deal as I used my existing hardware for mounting it. Soundbar is long and thin compared to my older one and looks great under 65-inch TV or larger (if tv size is smaller better to place on the cabinet). On the top of the soundbar it has got all the required buttons for control like power, source, Bluetooth, volume, mute and Voice adjust. On the back it has 3 HDMI inputs, HDMI ARC output, TOSLINK optical in, 3.5mm aux in and ethernet. It does have Wi-Fi inbuilt and supports Chromecast. Wireless subwoofer(14.5X12X14.6inches) weigh around 14 pounds has a 8 inch driver and 160W. Syncing is super easy, just press the sync buttons once all speakers are connected to power and its syncs first time with no issues. The sound is great with the rear speaker’s placement and is a huge improvement with my setup compared to my 2.1 soundbar. We placed rear speakers on the nightstand each side and this soundbar brings movies, dramas and sports to life and truly impressed. For simple wireless 5.1 setup for bedrooms this soundbar with 5.1 surround sound is the best. Pros: Easy Setup, Wi-Fi, Chromecast built-in, Bluetooth, Pre-programmed remote to work with most TV’s, volume controls to individually adjust bass, voice and rear surround, true surround sound(DTS, Dolby Digital) with wireless rear speakers Cons: No Atmos support, remote volume indent is little hard. Overall, happy and recommend with the sound and built quality.

This was not what I expected. Thanks was told by the Best Buy rep that this would extend the audio of the TV for my elderly parents. Instead all it does is provide surround sound of background noises. Is nice for that purpose but that is not what I asked for or needed. Disappointed.

Horrible!! Poor quality wireless connection to subwoofer and surround speakers. Subwoofer must be placed very close to keep it connected to bar. When reconnecting, it makes a loud pop and sizzles. The bar does not recognize the 5.1 signal on my Roku Ultra and does not play netflix in surround mode. The remote control does not control other devices and my Harmony controls do not work correctly with the bar even connected HDMIarc. I can not find a firmware upgrade for this and bestbuy will not exchange for Klipsch after 40 days. Should have bought from Crutchfield!!

Great bass and sound bar, terrible satellite speakers, not even a software update fixed the popping, you’re better off buying it without the satellite speakers and save yourself some money.

Ok but not good or great... surround speakers already went on when watch TV but work for music (Bluetooth). I won't recommend but not many sound bars have wireless surround speaker that can be added.

This thing basically sucks! I have been so busy with my business and moving into my new home I didn't get a chance to return it. It never synced to the two satellite speakers and for no reason it would just turn off on its own. The app that was supposed to make it smart never connected the device to my networked. I would just get error messages. And even with all these failures I got a lemon the audio quality of just the sound bar and the subwoofer when the subwoofer would even work was in my experienced opinion subpar and not impressive at all. Not approaching what it should have been for the price.

I’ve tried 3 of this Polk Audio Soundbar and end up returning each one of them because they are all having issues out of the box. The 1st one had an issue with one of it’s HDMI Port not working, went back to BB and have it replaced. The 2nd one had an issue with the Left Rear speaker humming noise, returned it and grab another one thinking the 3rd one will work. The 3rd one is the worst because the subwoofer is rattling. I’m done with this brand and end up getting a Samsung HW-Q65T which gave me no issues and great sound quality.
