    this product was a piece of junk. It shut its self off whenever it wanted to, We even contacted Polk who said it shouldnt be doing what it was doing. Went back to our old sound system.

    Sound quality could be good, but wifi satellite speakers constantly garble and sputter. Not a passable 5.1 system as a consequence.

    This speaker set is horrible. I am actually planning on returning it tomorrow - restocking fee or not; it doesnt connect to wifi, and doesnt have a LAN connection, changes inputs and doesnt maintain volume. I know what you might be thinking... different inputs... different volumes... nah - this only has 1 input, and i have tried factory resetting it. its actually something i have to do once a day, so the speaker will work. horrible.. is there a negative ratting here?

    Nice sound, but with Defects

    I got this system and had a problem with the very first movie I tried to watch. As other reviews state, there was a problem with one of the satellite speakers giving a crackling sound when the movie music got low. I made a return, and got a new set because I otherwise really liked the system.. Well I should have done more checking before the return period ended, because 15 days later,, and the same problem is occurring with the replacement system. 2 for 2 is no coincidence. My advice would be look elsewhere!

    Outdated and rear speaker issues

    Would not pair with new Google Home App. You have to sideload an older version to connect to internet ( had to Google this). Sounded great except both rear speakers paired to same channel, not providing separate right and left. Not really 5.1 but more like 3.1. It is connected to a Samsung Qled 80 TV. Everything I repair the speakers they still don't give me a true rear right and rear left. 3 hours of playing with it and watching videos. Polk used to be a brand I trusted. Taking it back tomorrow.

    Ugh, room too large, product not worth the expense. Would only recommend for smaller rooms. Disappointing.

    I received this and was shocked how big the package was. My older surround system we have was nowhere as big, but once I got it out of the box, I soon realized, the design of this is NICE! My older system (which has now been banished to the TV in our basement) was not wireless and only had the bar and subwoofer, and was far more “bulkier”. This has two additional small speakers, but don’t let the size fool you. They are very well designed and have exceptional sound quality, as does this entire system. The hook up was a breeze, we have a 72” LG 4K television w/ all the bells and whistles, they both “paired” together and I had the entire system installed and using it within minutes, it truly is plug and play. The sound bar fits perfectly under the TV and with the way our entertainment system is made, the subwoofer is on a shelf of its own. I did make a two small corner shelfs to hang on the walls to sit the smaller speakers on, (plan to purchase two more for each corner of the room from Polk). Compared to our older system, this is just so sleek and small, to the point you almost don’t even notice its there. As far as sound, its amazing. Our family watched an action movie the first night, and my son asked, “Was the old system even working?” It was. Old. And working. The clarity is crystal clear. On some of the explosions in the movie it was as if you felt them, if that makes sense, the subwoofer is so intense. The remote control paired w/ my TV and it was seamless. The two speakers are in opposite corners and again, I think once I add two additional speakers, the sound will be amazing. I was a State Trooper for 26 years, and my hearing is affected by all of the firearms training I did, so I have to have the volume up a little louder than most, but as I watched an NFL game and had the Polk system on, I kept finding myself turning it down, I’ve never found myself doing that. Its just so clear, so easy to install, so nice, if you are looking for an affordable TV surround system that won’t break the bank, and doesn’t require a degree in electronics, this system is it. To the point, our old system may be “put out to pasture” and we purchase another Polk Audio MagniFi Max SR Home Theater Surround Sound Bar for 4K & HD TVs, Wireless Subwoofer & Two Speakers Included - Black. Trust me, it is worth it!

    This system stopped working after four months. Ended up tossing into the trash and buying a JBL instead. The issue was that it would power on but no sound through any of the inputs. Tried this sound bar on multiple TVs and computers. Now when it worked it was a bit above average sound quality. The Sub was actually pretty decent. However since it stopped working after four months I can not recommend this to anyone.

    Purchased hoping to have superior bass, just the opposite. Tried LG next, nope! Lastly I tried a Nakamichi, OMG, fantastic!

    Do NOT BUY THIS JUNK. This is way to much money for what its actually worth. I spent 2hrs doing everything I could just to get the Sub an Sur to sync. Followed there BS instructions to the letter tried every different way an Never Once got it to even think of connecting. Polk Audio is a Brand I will NEVER EEEEEVER Buy again. My over 6yr old Sharp 65" Soundbar Sub is 10× Better then this over priced Polk junk.

    I am absolutely in love with this surround sound system. This was the easiest setup I have ever had to do - everything was laid out clearly in the instructions, it all hooked up easy and synced right out of the box. The sound is absolutely phenomenal, from sports to game shows to dramas. There are customized, preset options which are great and do work very well, but the remote allows you to customize the sound even more. You can adjust the volume of the surround speakers individually, you can adjust the balance, the bass, even the volume of voices - this is super nice when watching a drama where the actors naturally just speak softer, because you can turn up the voice volume and then when the program transitions to a different scene you can turn that voice volume down without adjusting the background volume. My husband always has a hard time hearing what people are saying in movies and TV shows so the voice volume is by far my favorite feature. The sound bar itself is very low profile which is a huge selling point for me. It takes up very little space on our entertainment center and is not a large eye sore like other sound bars we've owned. The surround speakers are also fairly small and take up very little room, and they are also super easy to mount - we had ours up in different parts of the room within 10 minutes. The subwoofer is of course big and bulky but we found it easy to just tuck around the side of the sofa, and without it the sound is truly not the same so the size is just a minor inconvenience. I have never owned anything from Polk Audio before but after my experience with this surround sound system I will definitely consider the brand for any future purchases I may need to make. I am so pleased and highly recommend this system to anyone looking to purchase a surround system, especially if space is a concern.

    Horrible crackling from rear speakers

    Installed 1st day...soundbar and subwoofer sounded great with music loud bass. As soon as I sync the satellite speakers horrible crackling sound from both speakers during the whole movie. Googles about it, and this is very common on these speakers. How you expect to pay this much for "QUALITY" surround sound and have to hear loud distortion out of speakers. Polk ruined there name in this.

    Currently still paying this off but I bought it less than 2 months ago and the surround sound speakers no longer connect to the system and the bass speaker connects whenever it wants to. I can’t believe I’m out $500 for this garbage.

Nearby wireless devices, including wireless routers, can sometimes create communication issues with the sub and surround speakers.     Total crap... about a month after purchasing this system my satellite speakers started cackling and popping, to the point that I have to turn the volume all the way down to enjoy watching anything. No matter what I do, I can't resolve the issue. My subwoofer has similar issues, though less frequently.

    "Open Box" Missing parts

    The Poor rating is for Best Buy selling an "Open Box" as Excellent when there were no cables (HDMI, Optical, and 3.5 Aux), no wall mounting brackets & template, and no Quick Start Guide. Now I have to go to the nearest Best Buy so they can remedy someone else's error. What a waste of time. As for the Polk soundbar, I may never know what it sounds like.

    I’ve already returned this purchase. The rear speakers would not stop crackling and popping. I ended up unplugging them every night until I gave up. The Polk app would kit work with these particular speaker. Also, the subwoofer would pop even with the system off for no reason whatsoever. I replaced them with a JBL product and love it!
