I’m actually about to return this item to the store.. the first one I took out of the box never would power up. I exchanged it immediately and the second unit will not stay on. I’ll turn it on and 30 seconds later it turns off, this will happen repeatedly until after about ten minutes it decides to stay on.

I purchased this item and it worked great for maybe 3 months. then it started disconnecting from the tv. the volume would just shut off randomly and we couldn't get the volume back unless we unplug the surround sound. Now the speaker is about to make a year and it wont work at all.

Like all the issues posted by others the unit freezes in a sleep like mode and the only way to reset is to pull the power. Remote and device buttons are non responsive. Great sound but not worth the hassle plus input failures constantly with hdmi.

Hello, sorry to hear of your frustrations. The Polk Audio MagniFi Max Soundbars have a power-saving feature that will power down the Soundbar once no signal is detected for approximately 15 minutes. Power can be restored by using the Polk Audios Soundbar remote control or pressing input or power on the bar itself. PolkAudioMarketing

Sounds Great at first but then it’s starts cracking. I guess it’s loosing signal strength but I don’t understand why. The speakers ant that far from the TV/sound bar and we have a fast Wifi. The voice seems to Not match the TV show either. So yeah very frustrating.

At first I thought this product was great. After 2 months of owning the back right speaker makes cracking sounds to where I unplug it. The right also does it periodically. Complete waste of money just use your TV sound.

Very disappointed with the Polk system. We've had to have the subwoofer replaced once and it is still popping and cracking with noise. It's even shut itself down twice. We will be having it uninstalled and will try to return it for a different model.

Couple things could be causing the popping. Popping usually occurs from WiFi interference from a near by router. OR the subwoofers distance from the soundbar is to great. PolkAudioMarketing

What you get inside of the box is a lot! Once you open the box, you have the subwoofer, the 2 rear wireless speakers, and the main soundbar. Also included of course are all of the connections to plug and power all of the devices; (HDMI cable, optical cable, AC plug for the subwoofer, AC plug for the sound bar, AC plugs for the 2 side speakers, AUX cable, and two mounts) I followed the included manual, and I'll be honest, it took me longer than I thought it would. I plugged in the main soundbar into an AC outlet, and then connected it via the HDMI on the back of my tv. Then came the subwoofer, and the green light on the back of the subwoofer came on, so it was synched. Then I placed the 2 rear speakers near the back of my sofa and plugged those in. I turned on my tv and launched a streaming service to hear the beautiful sounds... and... nothing came on. I saw the lights coming on, but still nothing... I turned it on manually on the soundbar (That's what the manual said in the event that there isn't any sound) Still nothing... I finally decided to plug in the optical cable as well. (On the manual it says plug in one of the HDMI ends to the port labeled ARC, and the same on the tv. There is however a secondary means of plugging it in through any other available HDMI port and using the included optical) Once I did that, I heard all the great action sounds of the movie. The soundbar's remote has 3 preset settings of movie, sports, and music. I kept my setting on movie the whole time to hear the surround sound. I raised the rear speakers up a bit to make it feel more immerse. The subwoofer packs a nice little rumble. The main soundbar itself sounded clean and crisp. Neither the voices, music, or sound effects sounded muffled. It's also shorter in terms of height compared to other soundbars. I was able to place it right in front of my tv, and it didn't impede my view of the bottom 10% of my screen; which others tend to do. (You can also mount the soundbar if your tv is mounted - Mounts are included) On the back of the soundbar there are extra HDMI ports if you would rather plug them into there. (I'm thinking that the soundbar also acts as a hub) You can also plug in an ethernet cable, the AUX port, a SNYC button, a Wi-Fi reset button, and a single SUB port For me, it's all about the two rear speakers. Their sounds are amazingly loud and crisp for such speakers that somewhat become of an afterthought in the arrangement. The only included attachment that I didn't use was the AUX cable... All in all, it still has all the similar looks of a soundbar, with the addition of two rear speakers. During the test I used it while watching an action movie, football, and a cooking show... for all three it sounded amazing. You get the movie theater feel without the need of more than 3 speakers.
