I'm not a huge fan of surround sound because I listen to a lot of music as well, via streaming from my media server to my living room. Music sounds terrible in 5.1 unless it was mixed for 5.1. Well, this little guy is amazing. Not only is the sound much bigger than the speaker, it actually has Blue Tooth support so I can stream right from my phone if I want to. Also, I love that you can isolate the voices and turn them up or down so that the music and sound effects never drown out the voices. It's brilliant! Great purchase.

The remote doesn’t allow you to turn on Bluetooth, you have to do it from the device. There are times that the sound and video are out of sync. Took longer than the return policy time to get annoying, so I’m stuck with it.

At this position voices were clear and the sound was full and vibrant. The quality dropped off as you moved farther away and moved more to the sides. So this would work well in smaller rooms but didn't work well in larger spaces. The sub woofer performed well. The bass was tight and not booming.
